Welp. I finished my Christmas shopping, like a good girl, and put a lot of effort into keeping things under 200$, while still getting stuff for all my beloved ones. I ended up buying a lot at the bookstore (thank you, 30% discount), on amazon and on Etsy. Thus making most of my girls original and pretty. And as a bonus, I skipped Christmas shopping, which I loathe. So all and all, a pretty good shopping spree. Heck, having less money made me really think about the gifts, and i'm proud of the results. I'm especially happy with what I got my mother, but I won't say it here (I know you read this, mom).

I'm kinda waiting for the snow to calm down outside so I can go get some wrapping paper and food. YUP. FIRST SNOW YOU GUYS!

While I wait, i,m torturing myself with Modcloth. I love that website. Today I found 3 dresses I really, really want. For a good price too. 153$ in total. But it might as well be a million dollars. They are so perfect too. Perfect for all occasions. I just got my first paycheck for the classes I give at the city library (200$, woo!) so maybe i'll splurge. But I honestly feel bad for splurging.

Oh well. Debate, debate, debate.

I asked for a couple of video games for Christmas, since I kinda feel guilty for buying those too. Especially when I should be doing art instead of saving Hyrule :D But Hyrule is FUN to save!

That is all for now.

Such first world problems I have. Oh well *laughs*

How long will those dresses be available? If nothing else, start saving up extra cash to be able to afford them with a clear conscience. If they're as amazing as you say, the wait will be worth it!

Pst! Skyward Sword doesn't take place in Hyrule, as it doesn't yet seem to exist. The newest Zelda game actually seems to take place well before the rest, so it's a bit of an origins game, that will explain many aspects of the series as you play through. (Already I have learned just why the Master Sword is called the Master Sword. It's pretty neat!) Also, did your Wii remote come with a Motion Plus? The first version of remote didn't come with it, so Nintendo sold it as an add-on later, but newer remotes have it built in. If you don't have one, or have it built in to your remote, you'll be needing one to play Skyward Sword. ...and yes, it's worth having. Accurate sword swipes are...cool. :D

They aren't available for that long - they have limited quantities snce it's like... designer stuff instead of cheap stuff. Oh well. Link encouraged me to order them :P

...Do they explain why the master sword has such an un-original name? *laughs*

No Hyrule though. Shoot. That disapoints me a little, if only because I love saying "Hyrule".

Is that girl taking her head off from the Oz books? That was one of the parts of the books that I hated! Actually, I think I saw the movie with that in it first, and then apparently was so horrified that I thought for years it was a bad dream, then I read the book, and realized, no, it was an actual thing. D: Anyway, your drawings are lovely! And I love Fred.

Modcloth... There are so many pretty dresses. I like to sew clothes, so it ends up being a place I look at for patterns that I'd like to make (when I have time, maybe in the summer...)

She's not the headless princess from the Oz books, even though I love her. To the contrary of you, I seem to love headless characters *laughs*. I was always fascinated by characters with weird or removable heads.

Modcloth is a good place for inspiration!

Modcloth is a horrible horrible temptress. I know it well. And eee snow I'm jealous. I'm only back north for a week this year (!!!), so I doubt I'll see any at all, which is entirely sad.

Congrats on efficient holiday shopping! It's a hard thing to do.

I kinda wish I wasn't in the snow since cold makes me very sick and is painful to me. But, despite that, I love snow, especially when it falls in fat little pieces under the moonlight.

SKETCHY-NESS!!!! Wheeeeeee!!!!

Good for you for getting your shopping done already. I just really need to only get stuff for my mom and I already know what I wanna get her, I just need the monies to do so.

Man, I love snow. I think I've been down here in Florida too long in order to have a nostalgic fondness for teh snowiness.

ModCloth. Way too many cute things that I wish I could own. *sobs*

Florida has some good things too, though. Like having fresh fruit in the winter that didn't travel a zillion kilometers. :D

I love looking at your sketches! I wish I could pop out a bunch of stuff like this at one time. It takes me so long to get inspired enough to draw just one tiny little thing I think is decent *sigh* These are all great! I really like that bigger one on the top page.

Good job on getting your shopping done early! I hope it snows here soon. Is it blizzarding over there?

oooh, buy the dresses! lol sorry, I'm a bad shopping influence. If my mom says that I need to tell her not to buy something, I'm "BUYY IIITT." Don't feel bad if it's something you love and know you'll wear a lot. hehe I always go on websites and stare down the things I wish I could buy XD

Is one of the video games you asked for Arkham City by any chance??

Don't feel bad. You seem plenty talented to me, I love your stuff :D

Link is the one that plays the Arkham series in our house. I love to watch him play, but i,m really not good enough to play them myself. I'm more on the kiddy nintendo level.

Awesome sketches!

Good to hear you got all your shopping done early! I live a simple life every time the holidays come up as my mother never really asks me for anything, only that she knows I'm doing fine far away from home.

I've already pre-ordered a lot of anime on blu-ray. :"D
