It's all about torture.

Welp. I finished my Christmas shopping, like a good girl, and put a lot of effort into keeping things under 200$, while still getting stuff for all my beloved ones. I ended up buying a lot at the bookstore (thank you, 30% discount), on amazon and on Etsy. Thus making most of my girls original and pretty. And as a bonus, I skipped Christmas shopping, which I loathe. So all and all, a pretty good shopping spree. Heck, having less money made me really think about the gifts, and i'm proud of the results. I'm especially happy with what I got my mother, but I won't say it here (I know you read this, mom).
I'm kinda waiting for the snow to calm down outside so I can go get some wrapping paper and food. YUP. FIRST SNOW YOU GUYS!
While I wait, i,m torturing myself with Modcloth. I love that website. Today I found 3 dresses I really, really want. For a good price too. 153$ in total. But it might as well be a million dollars. They are so perfect too. Perfect for all occasions. I just got my first paycheck for the classes I give at the city library (200$, woo!) so maybe i'll splurge. But I honestly feel bad for splurging.
Oh well. Debate, debate, debate.
I asked for a couple of video games for Christmas, since I kinda feel guilty for buying those too. Especially when I should be doing art instead of saving Hyrule :D But Hyrule is FUN to save!
That is all for now.
Such first world problems I have. Oh well *laughs*

Date: 2011-11-23 08:02 pm (UTC)Pst! Skyward Sword doesn't take place in Hyrule, as it doesn't yet seem to exist. The newest Zelda game actually seems to take place well before the rest, so it's a bit of an origins game, that will explain many aspects of the series as you play through. (Already I have learned just why the Master Sword is called the Master Sword. It's pretty neat!) Also, did your Wii remote come with a Motion Plus? The first version of remote didn't come with it, so Nintendo sold it as an add-on later, but newer remotes have it built in. If you don't have one, or have it built in to your remote, you'll be needing one to play Skyward Sword. ...and yes, it's worth having. Accurate sword swipes are...cool. :D

No Hyrule though. Shoot. That disapoints me a little, if only because I love saying "Hyrule".
