I miss all the little lines...
Feb. 21st, 2009 09:46 am My, what a week. I worked late a lot this week and work was hectic. I had a few deadlines to meet and it is also the last week for us to prepare for the Montréal group Exhibit at Nuit Blanche. so it's been busy. For the group Exhibit, I am actually building a blog to show our works. The blog is here - http://focusgroupart.blogspot.com/ It's kinda empty right now, but I plan to add artist statements and images over the course of the weekend. The group project is a contemporary quilt, and it looks awesome! I can't wait to be at Nuit Blanche and take photos of the exhibit happening.
We ran into a bit of trouble concerning the quilt's supporting structure. :( Bah!
I didn't really have much free time to draw comics this week. Being kinda tired when I got home, I spent my time watching Slayers instead (but I only watched 4 episodes..Gah.) Watching the old slayers boxsets makes me miss the drawing style. The Drawing style in the new series is great, don't get me wrong. And the animation is awesome. But I really like Slayers Next; Very fluid animation, good expressions and great drawings. I loved how they added little lines everywhere to add drama and details. Of course, those little lines were unstable and made the characters look different frame by frame, but I love it none the less (Especially the line detail during the Halcyform arc). The little linework was sacrificed for the fluidity of the animation, which is understandable. But I still love the originality and expression it adds.
And speaking of little lines - Lo and below...COMIC BOOK COVER.

The Story is going to get called "Rose" and it is a strange adaptation of Romeo and Juliet.

Eeeeeee. Lines.
