...I'm just a slow updater is all!
I'de like to open up this entry by saying I just changed my mood theme to a home-made Howl's moving castle mood theme and I enjoy it very much. Horray for owning the movie and a computer that can play dvds!
Other then that, I'm proud to announce the one of Gustav Klimt's paintings (very talented modern painter...google him if you don't know him people) as just been sold to a collecteur after being lost for years (since it was taken by nazis, to be accurate.) Even better the painting (intitled "Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer") is currently the modern painting that has been sold for the higest price in history of modern art! Even more that the two latests biggest sales that were first a Picasso and, second, a Gaugain!
Considering Klimt is one of my greatests inspirations with Mucha and Bearsdley, I'm very happy about this.

And Finally, here is a few con-related pictures to prove to CERTAIN people that yes, I was there XD

I took a picture with one of the Clouds there. There was a whole lot.

CloudIsa.jpg

There was also a guy dressed as Sailor Moon.

SaiorMoonGars.jpg

From the con I got these Rukia and Ichigo plushies...aw ^^

100_1255.jpg

They sit! I also found a lot of fan made stuff such as a fan manga (where the main character was SUCH a rip of lina!) and fanart since there was a lot of fan stands. I even got some fan made pins and magnets, including this cute little heartless one.

100_1254.jpg

I also got a t-shirt that says "Go to Jigoku and this brand new Slayers wallscroll (along with a full moon o sagashite wallscroll)

100_1248.jpg

Here's a closer look of the wallscroll, just for Ichiban ^^

100_1249.jpg

And finally in this array of photos, my brand new Nana bag! ^^

100_1256.jpg

In resume, cons are fun, but Isa spends too much there...
Good thing some money will come in soon when i'll be done doing these god fucked advertisement contracts. Advertisement is a bitch. Why do I really wanna go in there...?
Other then that, I'm looking for drawing suggestions to fight a block.

Eeee! I love the wall scroll! I also love the Miroku/Sango fanart you picked up. That one was just too, too cute. The wallscroll looks like novel art, which we never see enough of!

I like the miroku sango art too, if you look at it closely you will notice inuyasha, kagome and shipo in the bush (three eyes, a fluffy tail and two white ears...)

You got a lot of cool stuff! (squeal at Slayers wall scroll)

It's cool that you have a mood theme. I want to make/get one, but I haven't decided which show I want them to be from yet.

A mood theme? Mmmh...I'd probably go with avatar for you, or some kind of star themed thing...(sailor moon?)

That guy scares the shit out of me. It looks like he doesn't want to be there. The Cloud's sword scares me too.

In the prints picture, the picture with the couple kissing, I like it. I want to see it closer up!! *so bossy...*

I love Escaflowne (the anime and the movie; the manga isn't that great to me) ;.;. I really should buy that show.

Oh, that wall scroll! I had never seen it before (a year or so ago), but then it showed up on eBay. It's been on the wall behind my desk ever since. Every day I look up to see everyone. (Although poor Gourry is hidden behind the desk, poor guy.)

But since you made such a nice closeup of Amelia... *swipe* XD

The male Sailor Moon is about as good as the male Naga I saw once. It's hilarious when guys cross dress like that!

Argh! I though I was original. Seems you're going to own everything slayers that I will find XD
I love gourry and sylphiel in it, I think they both look pretty good for usually beated characters.
I also figured you'de love that close up XD

Male naga? I'm not even suprised.

Hey congratulations! you managed to get at the con, and also, you got a lot of great stuff (although the guy cosplaying Sailor Moon is kinda bizarre, but once I saw two guys cosplaying Sakura and Tomoyo, and they didn't even had the gentleness to shave their legs....).

In the prints picture, between the Sango & Miroku and the Van & Hitomi, below the one with the winged guy (Van or Folken I think), that is a nice picture.

Getting tired of the path you chose for your life? It happends sometimes, is when you need to re-check why you wanted to go that way, and, if it still motivates you, then you can get inspiration to go back at it (sorry, too much Miyazaki....), by the way, drawing suggestions to fight a block? can you explain a little more?

Back in high school, a bunch of guys had cosplayed the whole sailor scout gang, so eternal sailor moon here din't really shock me although I really wonder where this guy got a hold of an eternal sailor moon costume, of all things.

And if he made it himself, wow, good work O_O

The wingned guy picture is Dark from DN Angel (I asked the artist, I din't even know myself at first, I just liked it so much just for the art itself!)

Looks like I'm displaying a large amount of ignorance and also I might have souned a bit intolerant, well, neither one was intended to be like that, now, I think I'll watch DN Angel, and that guy.... well at last he wasn't showing some heavily hairy legs, and yes, if he made that costume, he's quite gifted.

I have much thinkering to do...

Intolerance and ignorance? That seems like a pretty jugemental way of seeing your post! *laughs*
Seriously man, unless you're outright insulting me, I really don't care about what you say. I'll most likely agree *laughs*
I really din't know about the character on the pic either XD
I asumed it was an original character. I don't even know DN angel!
And who knows...Sailor moon might not shave.

ooo man, those pictures rock! i love cons! i went to one full of star wars people.... they had it
you got some kool stuff, i like the bag ^_^ (ohm, and you'Re probably in advertising because you get to do art all the time, art that yes is "commandé", but it just pushed you to give the best of you and challenges your creativity. that and some good money can be made i recon :Pjke)

I like the bag too, it's very spacious and practical.
I love that guy too, he's got guts!
Humm...advertisement is very "commandé" and I'm annoyed when people call me a "sellout"...however, most great artists were complete "sellouts" too since their masterpieces where at least 80% of the time orders. I don't really like people who claim they are embrasing a higher perpice and shit when they either don't know what they are talking about or just say it too look cool. I might be doing art that is not high class as hell but at least I'M happy, I can lie off it AND i'm contributing at making the current advertisement look less shitty. If advertisement really is invading us, artists should be there and help soften the blow...
I love your icon!
Vicktor.

i find that people are calling artists 'sellouts' when the artist 1-their pieces are order (which, i afgree with you, had been orders thorought most of art history, 2- the art is really good 3- they get recognized for it and make a good living out of it... I find that it doesnt mean you're a sellout just because you sell art that pleases other people, you're just using them to get money to finance your own art :P and i agree with the softening the blow thing, some advertizing makes my eyes bleed...
and the frog is actually a teapot ^_^ the tea comes out of its mouth:P
