I think i've been sick for a couple of days because I was rather tired and my art suffered of it. But i'm better now! So is the weather - it went from rainy to sunny. Still a bit cold-ish, but it's always better the the dreaded DEATH HEAT.
I doodled a temporary cover for Ember and the sparkgobbler. That's how I start projects. do character designs, build a general scenario, draw a cover, then start getting serious about pages. I guess those are the steps I need to get myself to get serious about something? It's almost a meditation.
It's basically the main heroes surrounded by shadows. I'm going to have fun coloring this one.

I'm rather involved with Game of Thrones at the moment. It's a good show, even though a lot of sex was added for weird reasons in a couple of scenes (I swear it feels like some of the production meetings feature conversations like : "this character is monologuing, add lesbians in the back? GENIUS!"). I rather like the characters of Danaerys and Tyrion. I like that the female characters are by far the most interesting ones. I used to love Jon snow, but nowadays, all he does is stand around looking sad and pretty, so meh... It's interesting to see that show that seems mostly created for dudes (sex & swords & mind games) as such a strong female presence. HBO, I like your shows. Really.
I discovered the Feminist Frequency archives lately. It's a website dedicated to identifying and analysing sexist motifs (aka "tropes") in modern media. Worth a watch.
