Another commission! Someone asked me to draw Finn and the "young" version of Princess Bubble gum adventuring. So here it is. I think maybe it's because people keep asking me to draw things linked to youth that I feel drawn to kid's books right now? Not to mention our store is specialized in comics and youth books, so my coworkers from the kid's corner keep showing me these extremly badass books.

I discovered one of my coworkers might be my French (from France) clone. Because she's a fairy tale and Oz fan, and Slayers is the first anime she ever saw, and she adores Escaflowne. No, really. I gave her my email (secondlina) and she guessed right away that it was related to Lina Inverse. Oh my. MIND BLOWN. I,m actually making a lot of friends at work, which is cool. A few people seem to think i,m pretty hard on myself at work. Hey, maybe my self-esteem will grow :D

I was thinking today about those secret places people go to to think (or escape their horrible significant others if they are in that unfortunate situation). In the past, Several of my landlords seemed to have one of those secret places in the apartment that was being rented. In Toronto, the wife of the landlord often crossed our apartment to go to the room for rent (that weren't rented out) that were only accessible thru our apartment (which is probably why they weren't rented).  I guess she went there to clean or something, but she went often, and sometimes it smelled like cooked food up there... In Ottawa, my landlord would often come by to "check on the cellar" that was accessible thru a door in my bedroom. He stayed there for about an hour every visit. And there's nothing up there. A bookcase with a few boxes and a chair. I checked. So I could not help but wonder why the hell did he come here to sit for an hour? Next to my bedroom. It was a little creepy. Then again, this is the same guy that came in announced while I was in the shower. Brrrrr. Our current concierge here often seems to sit by himself in the "boiler room" next to the laundry room, listening to the radio.

Food for creepy thought?

You know, for the whole month of October, no matter how busy and real life gets, I can't stop thinking "THIS IS HALLOWEEN MONTH THIS IS HALLOWEEN MONTH THIS IS HALLOWEEN MONTH THIS IS HALLOWEEN MONTH, ETC ETC".

My Halloween party will probably just be about me, kicking back and watching Nightmare Before Christmas and Beetlejuice with some folks, but what the heck. It's fun to celebrate the creepy side of life. Me love the creepy side of life. It's my favorite side of life.

I completely flabbergasted (Woo! important word of the day) Link yesterday when I told him I had never eaten pumpkin pie in my life. Never. He was pretty amazed and asked me about 10 times if this was true (really, really true?). And then he bought a damn pie. So i'm guessing i'll be loosing my pumpkin-pie-virginity (is that a thing? It should be.) in the next few days (hot). I also took out my super warm PJs. Because it is time for fuzzy pajamas. Look out to the balcony while the leaves fall and my body is hidden under layers of superfuzz.

That's the good life.

Oh, hey, Namesake art! Someone asked me to do a Warrick commission, so here it is. This isn't a "real" event, but I though it was cute, and warm, and I love drawing that have this type of mood. It's so comfortable-looking.
