I've vote for a shorter than Gourry-normal ponytail pulled back in a more old-fashioned style or doing his full-length hair in a braid.

We all just have trouble processing the idea of Gourry with short-hair.

Indeed. I know it helps to elaborate on how he's lost a lot of his humanity, but it was unnecessary to be nude 90% of the movie. Just made him seem silly in my mind. Like a toddler that keeps taking of his diapers/training pants and running around the yard.
