Ah, the subtle mix of joy and stress that is the return to one's establishment of education.

I started my classes and my internship this week. As you may all know, this is my last return to a school. EVER. I'm not saying I won't take online classes or extra evening classes for whatever, but as a full time student, I think i'm done and over with. After this year, I believe it is high time I started life as we know it.  I'm slightly tired of school. I know everybody says "You're lucky to be there" and I realise that, but one can only take so many years of post-secondary education before deciding enough training is enough. Heck, universities never really train you that well. Theory is always different then practice.

Besides. I have a college degree and a future bachelor. How much do I need?

In a super-extra-positive point of view i'm happy to be back and quite satisfied with the internship up to now.

The internship: is at MASC, an organisation that basically organises artists residencies and workshops in elementary and high schools of the region. The job is fun, despite the large amount of collating. Lots and lots of it. The people who work at MASC are a little bit crazy. I like that *laughs* It's a very slick workplace. Very flexible. As long as your work is done on time, it pretty much doesn't matter when you're there or for how many hours per day, as long as it's within school hours and amounts to a certain number of hours per month. Apparently, a lot of the workers there do 12 hours days once in a while, hence the possibility of having a short day on the following shift.

There's also a lot of good restaurants around the workplace too. My coworkers are addicted to food. So am I. We get along great in that departement. Honestly, I love MASC. I actually stayed longer then I should have during my two internship days. ^_^ 6 hours instead of just 5. hehehe.

Schoolstuff: SO MANY PEOPLE I KNOW....EVERYWHERE!!!!!!! I was glad to meet my buddies again. I Saw Isabelle - know as isabiunleashed here on LJ - and Anneka -annekay here- , Stephan -my favorite bowling ball-head-, Christina and many others. Fauve is also back working at the university. She's been working at the education departement (teacher's college) of the U for quite some time now. My mother works there as well.

Every fourth year student is allocated a space he shares with other students as a studio for the year. A big room on the third floor was allocated to 14 students who specialized in painting. The big room as fake walls and ventilation allowing the students to share the space and not die due to oil paint fumes. I'm in a room on the second floor. The room itself is pretty big and divided in two creating two studio spaces. Those spaces are occupied by multimedia artists, photo artists, drawing, performance and light sculpture. Basicly the all-brawl rooms. The room on the first floor belongs to 4 students who are doing heavy sculpture. I'm in part a of the second floor room. I have the joy to share it with my Tanya (cottoncandykid on lj) who is awesome. The three other tenants are, suprinsingly, all french students. Counting me, that a room 4/5 french. But we are all bilingual, so it works either way. The room next to us is 4/5 english. *laughs* I'm just happy I got to be with Tanya!

Work: I have too many shifts this week. I managed to convince my boss that I could only do a shift a week starting next week. Yay. I'm way to busy to do more then that. Heck, I already have homework.

Other: With my friend fauve I did Ottawa's introductory haunted walk, which is a tourist activity involving being lead across town by guides in creepy capes that stop in front of old buildings and narrate the building's ghost/history story. It was awesomly cool. I was supposed to invite much more people, but we went on very short notice (aka in between two of my shifts) so I didn't manage to round up a possy. However, there are several haunted walks, some much much more scary and those time you can bet i'll have a gang with me. *laughs*

I'm addicted to the series Heroes now. Hiro, the japanese character is so cute I want him as a pet.

I randomly found at the librairy a book intitled "Buffy the vampire slayer and philosophie" and read half of it already. It's an awesome book that points out plato and nieschze theoremes in Buffy and also reflect on the nature of the whole good/evil/gray spots of the show. It's a great book if you love Buffy, and even better if you also love plato. I suggest it immensly. It's at the U librairy and most likely on amazone.

Oh, last week I dropped everything and went to montreal to visit a semi-depressed but fully broke Link. It was a bit sad but still fun. I'm not really sure when i'll be able to see him again considering how we both are busy and such... Hopefully it will be at least in two months, because beyond that, it's just not cool. While I was there...there was interesting conversations :

I also noticed a lot of advertizement for brest cancer this week. All my best wishes and a few dollars to the cause were given. Yeah, i'm a sap.

No school tomorrow. But a big 8 hours shift. Woo! Will also do homework.

For those who want to know my schedule :
monday : 8-12h30 am class
tuesday : 11-4 pm internship 7pm-10pm class
wednesday : 11-4pm internship 7pm-10pm class
thursday : 8-12h30 am class
friday, saturday & sunday : work somewhere + homework galore.

I'm actually wanting to start school this next week myself. I can't handle the lack of structure to my days! Sounds like you're in for a heck of a year...oh, and I wish I was living in the sculpting place! Man oh man, I'd be having so much fun! That's cool with most everyone being able to speak whatever you may feel like at any given time. Just don't leave out the lone English speaker too much. ^_^;

(I feel so scandalous... Just earlier tonight my sister was telling me how much she hates seeing people make sexual/dirty references, and then I saw your comic. Thank goodness she's in bed... But generally, letting someone get burned in their sensitive areas leads to bad things...very bad things. In general, wounding someone in any way is bad. Anyway...)

Just a few more days to go until I have something of a normal life, and hopefully no one to sneak by when reading your posts... (Don't change, I seem to get a thrill out of being a bit bad.) ^_^;

Sexual dirty references? In my defense those aren't reference. They are pretty darn clear sexual allusions! *laughs*

It's not a serious conversation of course. It's mainly teasing. XD The conversation did happen, but it was just mutual making fun of. He never did take anything off and we had a nice supper XD *laughs* But I get how sexual references can male people unconfortable. It used to do so to me. I just like to think most of the stuff I post here is pg13-crac approved. I, for one, would never segregate sex from love...

................ It's weird to think that you would be considered "bad" for reading my page! My comics are so harmless and cutesy compared to some of the stuff I read online! I think mormon college would kick me out after a day. Especially now that my hair is dyed purple... XD

Your stuff really is tame (I'd never be seen here otherwise), but some people are so hardcore conservative they put my conservative...ness? to shame! Tis a shame, really.

And no need to defend yourself. I know you were just being you. I just found it ironic that we'd had that conversation earlier about dirty talk and the like, and then I checked LJ to see...this. Were your naughty sensors being tripped off? ^_-

Hair dye is a no-no, it's true. People have to behave if they want to attend. I'm already living on the edge playing World of Warcraft... o_O (I get some funny reactions from girls when they learn I'm a gamer/nerd. It's like they don't know what to think of me!) I read your comics with great delight because it's a nice reminder of what "normal" (I use the term lightly) people are like. It's back to the bubble for me! ...I snuck in my D&D books this time. Think I'll get kicked out? ^_-

Yeah, my stuff is much tame. But at the same time, I like this still. Cute, border line naughty, very humoristic. I'm not censoring myself. I guess this is generally how I am in life. ^^

WoW is obviously, the zenith of evil. D& D as well. Be careful, oh master of the CRAC XD

I like to live life dangerously. Shouldn't I have already been thrown to the wolves for even associating with 'outsiders'? XP Thankfully I was raised to see the good in all things, and I only flirt with danger. When it responds I flee in terror! Maybe not the smart way, but heck, I learn a lot...

(If you're wondering why the heck I am posting so much on my week of silence, I am on my sister's computer right now, and she takes forever to get ready for bed, so all the more time for me to be online...and on IM, if you want to be crazy and stay up even later. Sadly, only AIM because I lack the laptop of goodness and inspiration.)

After this year, I believe it is high time I started life as we know it. I'm slightly tired of school.

That's exactly how I felt last year. I was just so tired of having to study for exams, research and write essays. I think there is only so much a person can take before it's time for them to move on.

It's does feel weird that I don't have to go back to university this year, but it's a good weird feeling. Mind you, I may take am eveing course or two a few years from now to add to my experience and resume, but I'm done with being a full time student and that makes me very happy.

Yeah. A lot of my friends are done with school and sometimes I feel like the've all grown up but i'm still a teenager. Sel (a friend who thankfully never reads this blog, terrified by the geek content) told me a few days ago that maybe it was time I forgot about dressing like a child and purchased pants made with (and I quote) "colours that don't make other people blind."

...Reh. I want to move into adulthood, but I think the crazy colours will stay.

Some things will just never change, no matter how old you get.

I'm 23, but I'm pretty much a big kid at heart and I doubt it will change anytime soon. XD

I love that comic with you and Link. What's so sad is that the same method of distraction can easily be used on me. Ooooh, pretty fire... *is distracted*

You're busy this semester, but isn't it nice to know that it's the last? I can almost feel the giddiness coming down from Canada!! By the way, those who created 8 a.m. classes should be shot. *nods sagely*

I agree

I totaly agree with the 8 am class teachers that should be shot. I'm a nightwalker myself.
My old class coordinator at La Cité collégiale wouldn't allow classes to start before 9h00. He did this, not to make the students happy, but because he never wanted to have to get to school before 8h00. The bonus for the student was an "un"fortunate consequence to his action that he would've taken off could he have done so.
He was a bit of a bastard teacher.
But regardless of that, he was also the second best teacher I ever had.

Is that so? *plots* And technically she's Pixar's, since they did all of the work to make the movie. Disney did finance it though... I'm just glad I finally added the movie to my collection. I'm always amazed at the movies I don't have for myself when I leave my parent's home to go back to school. o_O

aargh! haunted walk without me :( but we better do the most scariest one!! and the painting space rocks.... a small one would also have been cool, but i like working with lots of peeps around :P aaaaand i love the naked cooking sketch LOLZ aaaand i have to read that buffy book... i had started to read a book about tons of essays on HP (i think it was called how to read harry potter or something like that) i couldnt finish it, i had to bing it back and it was late :S but i was really interesting, kinda like htat buffy book (but without plato and nieztche). i find it interesting how they can fill books and books about serious stuff like that about pop culture icons.... and then make university classes out of those subjects :P

Pop culturre icon class must be so much fun XD Our current art theory classes look awesome too. I feel terrible for not being able to be in one...I'm actually considering maybe enrolling into one as one of those "auditeurs" ao I can learn without the exam part XD

And yes, next ghost walk will include you XD Like I said, it was very last minute and I don't think you would have seen the email (you should give me your phone number)
