Lina in a dark forest with the sword of light. I decided to scan this just now, because I drew it in my Boyfriends sketch book, and he might want it back. XD Lina's drawn in a different style, sorta a mix between manga, disney and european comic style. I love the sad mood in the picture, and lina looking up to the sky in what I wanted to be a beam of light. I always pictured this photo to be one of those "Gourry's gone...forever" fan works. You watch slayers, and you see that zel and Amelia function perfectly well without each other, even if they love each other's compagny. I mean, amelia rules (a kingdom) and Zel is just a nomad. However, I feel that if gourry went away...What would Lina do? Maybe loose her powers from grief? Maybeeeee...

Wah! ;_; I actually had this sort of conversation with linachu a few months ago. I agree that Amelia and Zelgadis could get on with their lives without the other, but if Lina or Gourry were to lose each other I think it would be really devastating.

That picture is so good, but it makes me really sad! Nice touch with the Sword of Light laying on the ground, and not clutched in Lina's hands. I doubt she could bring herself to even use the thing if she were to lose Gourry.

At first, she was clutching the sword, but then I felt the limping hand had so much more symbolism to it. This picture is one of many from my "killing gourry is a wicked plot twist" period.They are all very emotinal and kinda depressive, but I like them.
