Hiya guys!

I finally got my new glasses!

It took a good day to get used to them (since the prescription is lower my eyes suddenly went "What, we have to work more? Heck no. Have blurriness!") but I think i'm good. The headaches seem gone (aside from the default "change of prescription" one I always get). It's a really different style from before, but it must suit me nicely because NOBODY noticed. I take that as a sign of "it looks natural and good".

I doodled a bit, mostly catching up on my pages. But I drew this really cool image of Emma in "Emerald City" fashion (including the goggles of course). It's one of the rare times I've drawn her smiling. Emma never smiles. She smiles a bit on the promotional material, but that's it. I think this is the widest smile I ever drew on her. I like little details like that though. Deciding what expressions a character uses it a lot. The face is where the personality of a character is shown.

At work today. It's so quiet. Quiet quiet quiet. People are still on vacation methinks. I'm jealous.

Well, when I pick glasses, I usually go with someone, since I can't see myself in the mirror at all (not without getting too close where I can't see the shape of my face anymore). This choice of frames is a combined effort of Link and a nice eye-doctor fellow. They actually pulled out a few pairs. This one was the second one pulled out and was just the most awesome of the bunch. My recommendation is to go with other people and to ask for help. A good employee will have experience in matching styles with faces and skin tones. You almost never see your own face, so the judgement of others really helps in this case. And you can give out the final call.

Yikes, that is a bit brutal. That was one nice thing about having contacts and choosing frames, I guess. Unlike the first time, I could actually see through the glasses... But yeah, I dragged my mom along the second time since my dad didn't think he was much help, and after bugging the employee a bit, I found a pair I really liked. I'm just amused the frames are close to my hair color (the only option), so the frames sort of disappear in my mass of hair.
