 Tada! Finished coloring my Slayers picture!

I rather like how it turned out :

I tried using the canon colors, but I altered a few. Because honestly, some of these are UUUUUU-GLY. Why is Beige so popular in the slayers world? It's mostly a forest world. It doesn't even camouflage! My favorites in this are Amelia and Naga. I tried to make them look alike.

Video spamming of the week : first off, a video from Batman the Brave and the Bold showing Black Canary, Catwoman and... a third one I never recall (basically, the birds of prey trio) getting caught and escaping the villains using an enchanting musical number full of super-hero negative innuendo ("Flash is sometimes too darn fast!"). Second, another Tangled trailer. This trailer is my favorite. I loved the first one because it was action-paced. The second I disliked because all the princess did was call for help. This one gives us a bit more of the princess' personality. I just want to hug her. She's adorable!

In other news, I saw "Legend of the guardians - Owls of Gahoole" this weekend. Aka, 3d movie of epic owls. Epic Owls wasn't bad. The animation was, well... Epic. And the story was pretty good, though it had a pretty distinct "Star Wars" meets "Lord of the Rings" flavor. I'm still amused by the OWL BLACKSMITH. And the use of pop songs by a group called "Owl City" (good group too. I rather like them). Overall, without spoiling, I would have to say it's a good movie, worth a watch. But it's the less good animated movie to come out this year. Then again, this year had some pretty mind blowing movies. The competition is hard.

I need to buy new glasses. I hate mine so much. Most unconfortable things ever. and I have to wear them ALL THE TIME. GRRR.

Ah, thank you! Huntress! I think It keeps escaping me because in this universe she's not the daughter of bats and Catwoman. TIME PARADOX makes me forget.

The only fault I see is that Amelia and Naga's dark hair gets lost in the picture. That's the trouble with black hair outlined with black lines... (And Zelgadis technically wears white clothing, according to the novels. I'm glad he's depicted in more off-white/beige in the anime though, else he'd really stick out like a sore thumb...even more than he already does.)

I still refuse to ever go back to glasses. If you ever get brave and try contacts, you might never want to go back to having dead weight on your face either! (Good luck finding a comfortable pair of glasses though.)

Yeah... I really don't picture him wearing white (plus there's something about "I only waer white" that seems to make him extra pompous. Plus white clothing for traveling?)

I can't have contacts. And I don't really mind glasses. It's this model. I got it a few months ago and I still don't like it. I guess I need new ones. It's the first time that I pick a bad frame.

Je suis pas certaine pour Tangled... J'aurais plus apprécié une animation traditionnel. Je déteste le CGI et encore plus le 3d :( dommage c'était une histoire que j'aimais bien

Bof. Honnêtement, le 3D s'en vient tellement stylisé et beau en ce moment que c'est rendu que j'aime les deux pas mal également. C'est vrai que ce film-ci aurait été bien en 2D, Surtout avec les designs de Glen Kleane (http://theartofglenkeane.blogspot.com/) mais je suis quand même plutôt contente du résultat du film.

I love your choice of background. It's cool and unique without distracting from the characters.
And word on a lot of their canon colors being awful. Slayers fashion in general is pretty horrid (but I guess that's par for the course in a fantasy series).


Holy Smokes, I love Batman: Brave and the Bold! It's the perfect combo of coolness, action, and good old fashioned Adam West-style camp (something that that the Batman franchise desperately needed, IMO)!
BTW, did you know they did another musical episode? It's called "The Music Meister" and it's about a villain who hypnotizes people with showtunes. It doesn't have as much blatant sexual innuendo as that Birds of Prey song; but it's still AMAZING! ^_^

Yeah, the third girl is Huntress, fun fact about her. In an alternative universe where Catwoman and Batman were married, the Huntress was their daughter. XP

It's not a bad movie. Not the best either though. If you're a fan of Narnia and LOTR you'll like it. Plus, cute owls!
