Well, it's official, I'm back working at the bakery. My boss seems to be happy i'm back since i'm the only full time employee that can open and close. i'm thinking he's pretty pleased that I don't require training. So, I settled back in the routine of working at Aux Delices.
It was very dead these first two days of work, but my feet are still killing me. I lost the habit of running around and staying on my feet for 6 hours on end.

I also noticed that during off season (when we don't have the tourist armada roaming the Ottawa By market), the customers are so much more polite. Everybody I serve is all please and thank you as when the tourists are among us, I get orders barked at me and people who seem to get off on torturing employees.I don't get it. Are people naturally rude on vacation? They figure, i'm off and/or not from around here so I can behave like a five year old with foul langage? *sigh* Looking foward to those tourists yeah...

I AM looking foward to the japanese festival though. The japanese community of ottawa celebrates it, so a bunch of japanese people walk around in gorgeous kimonos all day at the market! I swear my camera lives for that day. Last year I felt like a background actor in Geisha. I was sad I was working the full day that day...I didn't get to see kimonos aside from when I peeked outside the window.

Oh, funny story has well. Some people might recall me telling then of a certain asian/canadian couple that did a weird thing in my store last summer. They basicly where newly weds I think...So the love bubbles where all over the bakery. Between every order, they looked at each other and wispered "I love you" as they kissed (Arck, to much fluff! Need air filtrer!) and then when they finally finished (10 minutes later...keep in mind a large amount of waiting hungry people was expanding) I punched the amount in the cash and lifted my head to demand money when I discovered...THESE PEOPLE ARE MAKING OUT ON MY COUNTER!

Seriously, they were.

And not just a little!

They angry mob of waiting hungry people pressured me to stop them, so I did (after a good while. They were very focused). Then the couple paid and left. Afterwards, a client complained about public affection. Another replied that love was a beautiful thing. Then a lady kicked in the conversation, and before you know it, the hungry angry people were having a long debate.

I think I never laughed so much in my life.

Well, today during my morning shift, I saw the couple again. They came in with their baby to buy cake.
Fast workers huh?

Wellllll...tonight I was rather tired from work so I took a long nap and then was too zombified to do much, So I decided to try out making icons. Here are the results...

I really like the "I can speak whale" one. I,ve made some from Howl's moving castle, Strangers in Paradise, Slayers, Nemo, Grimm and random doodle
