Just a little drawing i'm doing for a website banner, as requested by my buddy and fellow comic artist Stan. It's got a chick and a Foo Dog and a James Jean feel thing going on.

I've got a bunch of comic ideas but not that much time to draw them. The apartment is still in construction and my old job still needs me for contracts. But next week I plan on starting to sketch out the special halloween comic of this year. This LJ is getting pretty old! And you all follow it! Thank you for following it and motivating me to post frequently.

I had an interesting moment yesterday. I took a nap and when I woke up, I had dreamed of all the plot for the comic book i'm currently working on. Poof. Like that, my brain worked out all the plot holes. While I was sleeping. I wish my brain would do that every time I go to sleep! I'm a little afraid of forgetting the stuff before I get to write it down.

In this apartment's studio room, you can see a fabulous specimen of the world's shitiest windows. Seriously. The thing came apart when we opened it this morning. Bad window. We should probably tell the apartment people to fix'em.

My old landlord rented out my old apartment! So i'm getting (a part of) this month's rent back. Yay! Ironically, half of my old apartment's monthly rent fully covers my share of this appartment's rent. That was a stupidly expensive apartment.

I need to start talking to friends next week or something. I've been so antisocial lately. Many sorries to my proximity and online buddies.

That is one productive dream! I guess if you can't get the time to be as creative as you want while you're awake, in dreams is the place it's going to happen.

So you've got a nicer new apartment for half the price? That almost does make it surprising that someone went for your room, but it's good news for you! (I hope this means forever goodbye to that jerk of a landlord. XP)

Technically, I didn't get a nicer appartment for half the price. Link and I just share the rent. Still, my old, small, crappy apartment was 625$ when the new one is 850$... for a lot more space and coolness! still the better deal.

I seemed to be inspired whenever I take a shower. Go figure...

The old house we used to live in had the worst windows ever. They were those old jalousie windows (the crank kind) and they didn't close tightly and the AC would seep out and it was awful. Our landlord wasn't going to fix them, so...

There is a reason why "sleep on it" is still advice given to people sorting through a problem. I get my best insights and ideas when asleep or nearly asleep. That state of mind is great to work with, although you can come up with some bizarre stuff as well..

I've learned to keep a notebook by my bed because the best plot ideas come either when I'm asleep or when I'm dropping off. I think it's because my mind has let go and it's drifting into places it doesn't normally venture.
