Dear people in the clothing industry,

Why do you hate pockets on women's clothing so much? Yes, I am aware there is this thing called "purse" but it's nice to have close, accessible pockets for bus cards and ipods. But if you want me to have my brests enjoy music too, then so be it.

Shocking revelation of the day: I think I may not talk about my work enough. A few people (namely, the_flowergirl, school friends and my aunt) seemed to think I was a full time artist. Hahahah. I WISH. But no, I have a job. I don't really talk about it much, mostly because it's so corporate. Even if I like it, talking about it is kinda well.... boring. Unless you're really into filing and website designing and event logistics planning (if so, hold on baby XD). But I work 8 to 5 in a small cubicle as a Communications Manager and then spend my evenings finishing contract, hence the lack of sleepage. I kinda wish I could a full time artist, but as they say: "In this economy, Dream on."

In dream related topics, Pixar just opened a studio in Vancouver, And they are HIRING. PEOPLE. LIKE. IT'S. ON. FIRE. Maybe you should look into that, Diane?

For Neshel: A sketch of badass chickipooes for her birthday: Elizabeth Swan, the Bride and River Tam. At first this was going to be serious, but Neshel needs so laughs nowadays, so funny drawing came along. I always though Elizabeth and Beatrix Kiddo were really polite people, when they weren't kicking your ass. Hence - TEA TOGETHER! The pile of unconcsious victims is decorative.

For Eveska: Jedah. I love his belt. Here's the concept sketch. Let me know if you like it. Also, if you have a specific pose or background that might work for him, let me know because it is hard to draw a commission when you don't know the character!

That's all for now. Currently online until about 9 as it is customary for me every sunday night :)

Don't you know? Women don't need pockets at all! ..I agree though. I especially hate the pockets in my jeans that seem like they're pockets, but they can barely hold a tube of chapstick if I'm not doing crazy things like running. Not fair. Men's clothes, on the other hand, are awesome! I bought a Star Wars jacket when working at Walt Disney World since I needed one and jackets just don't exist in Florida, but it has so many pockets! I don't need to carry a bag/purse around when I wear it!

(I am seriously going to look into this Pixar in Vancouver thing! That would be awesome!)

(I was about to say, if you didn't do it, I'd poke you until you did! Working for Pixar would be awesome!!!)

The pockets of my jeans can thankfully hold at least a card, and when I was in college I used to keep rolled up drill charts from marching band rehearsal stuck in my back pocket (I'd forget about these because you don't feel them after awhile.) My favorite jacket to date is my pullover one from the Million Dollar Band because it has a large pocket in the front perfect for tucking away wallet, iPod and other things without a purse.

(I tried poking link to do it too. I mean it's far away, but it's PIXAR dammit)

My jeans are usually okay pocket wise but nowadays I work wearing dress pants 5 days every week (for my job I never speak of *laughs*) so I suffer. Dress pants have these weird imitations of pockets. What's the point of imitating a pocket? O_O

When I was a teenager I had the coat made out of black jeans that was like a swiss army knife in the form of clothing. And I loved it!

(please do. You have to!)

I hate lack of pockets too! We need them for quick-access, take-everywhere items (for me, that would be lip balm). Luckily, most of my pants are jeans, but I have a couple pairs of dressy pants that don't have real pockets.

My sister used to keep her insulin pump in her bra...sometimes you could hear it whirring. XD;;

Hahaha! It has multiple uses! XD It'd be even funnier if they saw her pushing the buttons, though I don't think she did that out in public.

Oh, I know how you feel! Trust me, if I ever win the lottery, I'm bankrolling your career as an artist. You can quit, I can move to Montreal or Toronto and we can spend all of our time coming up with fun creative stuff. Artist (and writer) commune!!! We'd open our own gallery and everything. It would be beyond awesome. But, until we strike it rich, we must be creative when we're not slaves to the normal working force. Darn you adult responsibilities! *shakes fist*

Urrrrh. If only. I tried applying to some grants so I would get money to only work part time but it really didn't work. I'm disapointed. Maybe I can try again when Rose is published, since then i'd have an example of a type of product I would like to produce with the said art grant.

I should try looking into grants as well, but I think it'll go down the same avenue. Maybe when we really work on Namesake, which would be just awesome.

Hee!! He looks a little Sweeney Todd to me! XD

...though his hand(s) on the windowsill(I know it's a sketch) gives me the creeps. O.o

Sweeney tood? Is that good or bad? If you want I can change a few things, just let me know what they are :)

You know... homicidal maniac. ;) I think it's the hair. XD But then, he -is- an assassin...

Really, though I think the only thing that I would change though is the nose. It's a bit big to my eyes... not -quite-distractingly so, but sneaking up on it.

I've never understood why women's clothing doesn't include more pockets ...
