I'm currently doing some portraits for people, and after seeing art pieces by Yayoi Kusama, a japanese artist obsessed by pokeydots, I just had to draw my friend Julie again...

Cool drawing! So many dots! For some reason, it reminds me of the opening to 101 Dalmations. ^_~

Well, Naturally, I post my best stuff (you should see all the crap I produce every day XD) And no, the backdrop is a photo (I hate using photos in pictures but this one worked very well)It's from the Yayoi Kusama expo.

Actually, some of my favorite art is concept art. You know, the rough sketches and everything. It's one of the few things that lets the viewer see what the artist was thinking. (You're right, the photo did work. Probably helped it was all black and white. Still so many dots!)

Most people prefer my scketches too, others prefer my finished drawings. I remember one of my friends brought a cd with my art to his school (class of 3d animation) Eventually a few students gathered and then the issue of sketches versus finish was present XD
I need to post more sketches.
Oh, the picture is in color originaly. I altered it with photoshop.
