Floaty Limbo Insecurities

Still stuck in floaty limbo. The interviews I had went Ok, but I don't think i'll get a job (except maybe for the interview I got at the University of Ottawa. That one was most likely the best of the ok group). So i'm still jobless. One of my old bosses at the bookstore asked me to come in and help from august 15th to september 15th with the school books. It's a busy time for her and all her staff returns to school too, so she needs a full time person. So, if I don't get a "real" job before the 15th, i'll at least be able to work at the bookstore for a month. The way I figured it, i'll keep looking for work during that month and if I still don't have anything available once i'm out of the bookstore, i'm officially enrolling in a placement agency and letting THEM find work for me.
I'm not a big fan of agencies, but they will be able to find me some administrative jobs allowing me to gain knowledge. Of course, they won't be cultural admin jobs, but hey, I think at that point, it won't matter. Because at that point, i'll be officially tired of trying for a while and will just want to gain general experience. My lack of experience is really kicking me in the butt.
I think I just lack experience and you know... contacts. An agency could help with that in a way.
One way or another, even if my job is all administration and no culture, it doesn't mean I gotta wash the art from my life. I can still do exhibits and comics on my free time after all. My job would just be a rent job or something (but hopefully a fun one).
Some friends told me it would be better for me to just get a random management job. Apparently, culture jobs involve a lot of working on your own time (it is kinda true) and it would (according to them) interphere with my own personal art. That might be true, but at this point, I just want work, any work.
Aside from that, i'm going a little stir crazy here. I need to go out and have some fun rather then draw all day. Tomorrow i'm gonna spend the day with my friend Fauve who's gonna show me a recipe for won-ton soup!
Oh, and also, i'm having a debate; we have an anime con in the Area in Febuary. I kinda want to subscribe and try selling some doujinshis and art. It could be fun! But the con is new and there might not be many people.... Still, fun weekend!
Here's the con's site: www.ganime.ca
I already drew a bit of a ranma fanart for it. I was kinda thinking about Link's ratail and how I had to help him re-braid it once in a while. Maybe ranma needs help too...
