Congrats to all of us that survived the exam blast to see xmas. Yay!

My exams went fairly well. I'm a bit tired of all the management stuff though. Now i'm off work and school until the 7th of january. Woo. Aside from the 2nd and the 3rd of january, where i'm going to go help my old boss at the bookstore do some backstore cleanup and inventory (it's no fun but I get money out of it).

I went to montréal this week, hence my big silence. It was my early present to myself. I got my hug-o-meter filled up thanks to Link and I even got to see my friend Sofi while I was up there so it was pretty good. My plans for the xmas vacation are currently : sleep a lot, dye my hair bright purple (i'm tired of orange), catch up on my illustration contracts (which also pay me, I wish I was more up-to-date), finish another drawing/painting for class, practice drawing realistic eyes & faces, find a skirt to transform with the crazy patches my mother-in-law and biological mother gave me (so many pretty colors!), try out this new varnish for my drawings made of wax, clean out my desk, clean out my email inbox, write a secondworld post (yeah, don't kill me guys!), buy a bunch of comics (time for book-shopping! WOO! Scott pilgrim 4, here I come!) and last but not least, get my school stuff up and ready for my next and FINAL semester.

I also need to finish all my drawings for xmas presents. I've got a few underway. ^_^

In any case, I felt it's been a while since I poked fun at the comic gang, so here's a nice xmas mini-story. I'll try to keep this one to 20 pages, I swear. I'll have to conclude it after xmas. I'm leaving to visit my family in the North until the 28th. The north has internet, but no scanners, so i'll just have to draw the comics but post them on the 28th when I get back. Till then, enjoy this batch of yule mayhem.

Oh poor Artemis. At least he was smart enough to not change to Minako's team. (And thank GOD Minako's not cooking, though it doesn't matter since disaster is guaranteed when she is there.)

Amusing anecdote regrading lights: My friend has a fear of deer. When those light up deer started coming out her family bought some and her father, knowing said fear, decided that they should enact "Bambi" in their front yard. Said friend is all for this, especially because they were going to knock a deer over and put red lights under it for the night they did Bambi's mom's death. I'm sad to say they relayed their plans to the rest of the house and were forbidden to do it.

And now I feel I must do this the year I get a home and because the angry knocks on the door from parents would be SO worth it.

...you took my kitty away! Maybe it would break some unknown rule having two characters with similar name origins on the same team, anyway. Why do I have the feeling that with the likes of Gourry in my group, many people will be chased away from the kitchen? ("Back off, fangirls, these guys have a job to do!!") As it is, I fear only the Works will actually accomplish anything. I really fear Voldemort being on the team...

I snickered a lot at Lina's research into our 'pagan' holiday, combining the secular 'X-Mas' with the religious Christmas. Is someone ever going to dare sit her down and explain it all to her? I found it fitting you had a scene from the Charlie Brown Christmas special. "That's what Christmas is all about, Lina Inverse." ^_- Methinks she'd not like the goodwill toward all men bit.

I figured their christmas needed a little chaos and misunderstanding. Heck, what's a good family xmas without that? It's not the holidays till someone cries or puts a reinderr through someone. But the story seems to be going a nice way. I'm trying to incorporate scrooge elements to it. Next year, i'd like to do the nutcracker.

I particularly liked the Zel and Inu Yasha panels, they way they looked at each other, considereing their family ties and then the message.

Gee, I never thought about Lina's costume and Santa's being somewhat alike! My tummy hurts for laughhing!

You never saw a similiraty between Lina's suit and santa? It was like...one of the first things I noticed. Especially when she carried a big bag around. Well, and then her costume felt very 80's like. If you notice, there's this slayers xmas image where lina is dressed as santa; it's the same costume, but with fluff at the spot of the white lines.
