...For those who have read Runaways, don't you love when Chase says that? I do!

Allright, what's going on? My internship is doing well, Although it is a bit boring since all i'm doing at the moment is research. Starting thursday things will become a bit more hectic, so I think i'll be far from being bored. Life in Toronto is good: This place is a geek Mecca. A GEEK MECCA! There's stores with japanese-comic-drawing-animation-cute asian crap-yummy food- old awesome movies EVERYWHERE! I spent far too much in these first weeks, but i'm calming down. I need to save for the anime con (Anime North that is happening on the 25th of may (right after my birthday! Ah!) though considering how easy it is to find cool stuff around here, I don't know is i'll buy that much.

I found this really nice place that opened last friday called the Labyrinth. They used to be a travelling store that went from con to con. The finally settled in a stable place because one of the two owners was pregnant (the owners are a married couple). It's a store that carries comics of every kind and rare comics and art books, and comics in french and sketch books and information books for animators and colorists. Link and I both spent a lot there. I returned to that place 4 days in a row. On the last day, I had a present for them: A big drawing I did. I took photos of it, so i'll post it up next time ^^

I'm also exited about shrek the third coming out on the 18th. Guess what i'm doing that weekend? Heh.

Aside from that, I think I lost a lot of weight. I though I did, but since my weight fluctuates quite a bit, I wasen't certain. Link noticed too today, which makes me believe it is not my imagination anymore. I weighted myself: I used to weight between 125 and 130. I'm currently 117. O_O I need to fatten up. I've been eating a lot of fish since I got here, so that probably diminished my intake of fat. I should go eat chinese food.

In a related food-though: There is like....11 sushi places on this one street called Bloor. I wanna try so many of them! And i want some more of that good deli pizza! Oh, and onigiri. Some places here sell onigiris and squid-shaped sausages. Ee! *is going crazy will all the food.*

Finally, I think it was about time I started another comic story here. I was originally supposed to start with the musical, but I wanted some sort of intro to it. Well, here it is. Reading far too many pages of the Wicked book while listening to the Wicked soundtrack as giving me this brainchild: Secondlina's panels in Oz. Enjoy.

p.s. Almost done with the Wicked book! Yeah!
p.s. 2 Hey, Yuki, you and I still need to meet or something!

Man, I'm so tired of being poor! I'm glad you're finding a lot of things to keep your interest though! Makes me want to invade Seattle, but that'd be bad on the already hurting wallet. (And still no go on the laptop. Those evil credit card companies think they want me, but as soon as I try to apply, they deny me. Ugh!)

Oh man, the Wizard of Oz... I always likes the story, but it also scared me. (I am such a wimp about some things!) I almost feel bad for Sylphiel...then again, if she turned Lina into a pair of shoes, she had it coming. (Poor Lina! She's going to get walked all over, poor ..er, shoes.) Is this going to be a continuing story? :D

I'm not that rich either actually, I should be more careful.

The story of Oz kindoff always fascinated me, I never took it up to read the old children's books. I wish I did.

And yes, this story will continue, probably for another while XD

Pretending to be poor is the best way to go...although very boring.

I'm looking forward to seeing who else pops up in this. If it's anything like the original story, you'll be seeing familiar faces. ^_-

Heya,

You got me curious about the new store. I don't know them from the con circuit at all (no surprise there!) but I'm wondering how different they are from The Beguiling? Not that there isn't room for two stores in T.O., but inquiring minds wanna know. :)

Nice story, by the by!

I visit both the labyrinth and the beguiling, so I can rate them well (actually, the Beguilling is almost our neighbor since the mirmish village is super close)

THe Beguilling is a comic store. They have rare comics and stuff, but they also carry anime and manga. They are basicly a good store for anything made of panels. The Labyrinth concentrates more on how-to books, arts books, sketchbooks and things like that. Basicly, the Beguiling is more for the specialized fan. THe Labyrinth is more directed at the artist. The husband is an animator himself. The Labyrinth doesn't carry as many comics as the Beguilling (who's selection have us gasping in awe) but they have a few books especially for artists, on whitch you will drool.

Thanks. I like to think it's funny little idea of a story

I am now expecting Lina to blow up at random intervals to keep everyone on their erm...toes.

Wizard of Oz is a nice touch, fun story line and all around WHEEE for a book and movie. I'm afraid to ask who is playing what parts, though...

Oh, you'll see. Some people will have funny roles. I garantee it ^^

Lina was originally going to be dorothy or one of the witches, but I figured transforming her into shoes might be an original and funny twist ^^ Expect the shoes to be evil.

I've always liked the Wizard of OZ (although I've never read the original novel. I should do that at some point in my life.)

I think my favorite character in this comic is going to be Lina the Ruby Shoes. XD

*snickers* Runaways shoutout!!

That store sounds like it'd be awesome! We need something like that down here. The one anime store we have is kinda expensive and they usually don't get the new stuff right away...

Ha ha! Talking shoes!!

Oh my ! Thank you! *is blushing*

I loved drawing these. There's a few pages, you can just click on the Oz miniseries tab to view them. They are currently on hiatus, but people have been telling me to continue them (and I really, really want to) so I might pick them back up during the next two weeks.

The story cuts off before Ozma appears, since she is my favorite character I MUST finish!

The wicked warlock of the west and the talking shoes greatly amuse me.
