Believe it or not certain Universities will let you major in two different areas. ;3 I'd have to ask her but I have a friend in the US doing a major in two unrelated things. Somekind of a backup I guess? It just means she has a crazy course load since she has to keep up with much more classes (she has to do a course overload). I wouldn't mind doing that. My goal is to be an interpreter/translator so if for some crazy reason a marine park would need someone to help translate things for their websites/business-related things, I wouldn't mind. Though I'd settle for living and working near Niagara Falls.
I didn't like animation because frame by frame was just... repetitive. You'd be drawing the same thing over and over and over again and nothing was really different from one frame to another. And there was a lot of pressure on you in general. Illustration is fun + you get to ink and color (they usually give that to a different department in Animation). I don't think you're limited with a panel if you learn how to use your space. :3
