Not another photo post? *Gasp* Nooooo!

If you ask me what Toronto is like, i'll tell you it's a lot like china.


Link's appartement is situated somewhere between the Toronto University, chinatown, little Tokyo and korean district. So, a lot of the signs were is asian-type langages and a lot of crap and cool stuff were on sale for cheap (along with good food for pretty amazing prices). It was cool to see people in kimonos and in chinese robes. And for once, I was pretty much on the same level has the crowd.

I really like this picture of a chinese little girl disapearing in the crowd with her cute little embralla.


I also noticed that there was a huge load of grafitis in Toronto, some of them are very beautiful because people there figured out a good way of avoiding bad grafitti on their buildings: They actually hire people to make nice grafittis that other grafittis artists won't draw over, so the store owners have a drawing they like and don't start a paint-over war with the street artists.

So some of the grafitti over there looks like this: Woah I say!


Aside from that, I generally loved being in Toronto, although some people, like the occupants of this building, seem to disagree:



It was fun to walk around with a super tall guy to make holes in the crowd for ya! There goes my Link and his rat tail...I just follow.



Aside from that, I got a brilliant idea that might turn into poison depending if I can bend photoshop to my will or not. I had ideas for small slayers prints I was thinking of selling. I kinda felt like putting the doujin on pause and doing that for a short while. The idea was that I have the two main couples associated to light and dark and then every character associated to an element (Amelia=wind, lina=fire, gourry=water, Zel=earth) aka a total of 6 prints.

I started working on the light couple (gourry and LIna) a while ago. So far it looks okay but PHOTOSHOP WILL NOT OBEY ME!!!! HISSSSS

I like how confident the two characters look. ^^
Now i'm wondring...should I really do this? Would people really buy these prints?
If not I still think i'm gonna finish this drawing, I love it very much...

Now if you'll excuse me, I just photoshopped for 3 hours and need a break to go watch Dark Angel, whom Link as addicted me to (yes, it's a great show, now stop laughing or i'll kick you.)

Oh, I love the photos! It's such a cute one of Link from the rear! You're right though! Toronto does look a lot like China from the pictures you took! It actually reminds me of New York City as well.

As for the Lina/Gourry picture....

SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! *keels over*

The best thing is that with a couple of exceptions, this almost exactly mirrors a pose that I have envisioned for Lina and Gourry in one of my own fanfictions where Lina taps into Gourry's magical capacity to pull off a spell.

The asian culture really suprised me. I saw a lot of black people and italians too, I though it was interesting. I felt like a minority! *laughs*

I find the photos very interesting and I also like Link's rear...I mean view from the rear...yes...that's right. *ahem*

I really like that drawing myself! It actually spawned from a spontanious bus-sketch. I like how it's a cool couple pic whitout it bein ultra gushy or fanservicy. I also love the dynamism in it.

I think it plays up the strengths of that particular pairing - about how strong they are when they work together. It's an aspect the anime lost in TRY - that Lina and Gourry are partners even before romance ever entered the picture. The way that they work together is all shades of awesome and part of what I love about the novels.
