Okay, so i'm back.
I've discovered a cruel rule of life : the more shit you leave behind when you take off, the more double that shit you will find at your return.
So since I returned, I did 5 loads of laundry, responded to 20 emails, opened 10 letters, had to do a pile of errants and cleaned all my house.
*sigh*
Home sweet home.

I wonder when I get to go back....

Oh well, on another note Toronto was excellent and I had a great time with Link, who changed appartements and now lives with his brother and roomate in a place that is just a jewel. Great location, clean, well taken care of...the owner is a nice chinese man that is very amusing. His wife is somewhat demanding though (you can tell right away who wears the pants in that relationship!)
I have material to draw a zillion comics. "The Toronto Chronicles" or something. *laughs*

I discovered very close to Link's house a very cool second-hand clothes store where I got a polka dot dress from the 80's. I also discovered the ultimate comic book store that even carried french european comics despite the fact that it was smack in the center of an english town! Why smack me silly!
The Doujin suffered from my trip a bit, but for those interested i'm working on two drawings that i'M going to color and perhaps sell as printouts. The drawings are very nice, i'll probably post the in the next few days.

People are bending over backwards for me since I came home yesterday (and no, you perverts, I don't just mean Link). The bookstore close to my house offered me a job. I was already taking care of their comic collection but they want to hire me for at least 2 hours a week to take care of that collection O_O sweet. My actual job is going okay, I get back to it tomorrow. I get back to university next week.

I'm currently looking for a art place in Toronto to do an intership this summer. If anyone has an idea, please suggest.

I'm glad you had a good time! And I think I saw your toaster on eBay from this user called IDRGSLVU. The person also said she was selling off a jellyfish and a princess, slightly used. ^_^

Have you tried looking up the museums in Toronto? Or maybe some art galleries? Those might be good places to start with. Maybe you can talk to your art professors at your university and see if they have any recommendations. Some of them may have ties to people in Toronto that they can direct you to.

Yay for the job near the bookstore (and I didn't think the phrase bending over backwards was perverted...) I've thought about applying as holiday help at the Borders near my apartment just for the discount. Mmm....book discount...

Well, that explains all those odd emails I keep receiving from ebay users.

I found 4 nices places to apply already and I was thinking about talking to my photo teacher (whom I respect and revere!) because i'm sure he'd have a bunch of suggestions.

Gah, I want to go to the bookstore but i don't want to quit the job I have now and having two jobs is out of the question...gaaah

Which one offers you more pay? I think that's what it comes down to.

And once again you catch Zel naked. You think he would learn by now?

I'm glad that you had a great time. The comic store sound really cool. I love it when I find a new cool store to go through.

I wish I could suggest ideas, but I've only been to Toronto once and that was just to see The Lion King Musical. ^_^; However, I think DQbunny had the right idea. It can't hurt to ask some of your art professors.

What IS it about you that makes people strip =P?

Word from the wise about bookstores: If you're an addict like me, you'll pretty much be paying them to work there, from all of the book purchases you make.

I'm slightly afraid of that. Working thre and making no actual money...

Good luck with the bookstore job if you finnaly accept it ^_^ I would consider to take a temporary job too, if it wasn't for those dammed exams that I fail over and over again ¬¬U
