I had fun drawing Emma getting hit by a snowball for the Comic Creators For Freedom’s new anti-human-trafficking fundraiser. I participated last year too. It's basically a bunch of webcomic creators making a giant wallpaper together. All the download money goes to help stop human trafficking. Calliope is all about defending young girls, so you bet that a Namesake character will be all over that. I'll let you guys know when the wallpaper is up for download, so you can donated if you feel like it.

Some of my good friends are also participating. It's going to rock.

Aside from that... I've been having fun trying to redesign the superheroes Cloak and Dagger. I LOVE these guys. For those of you who don't know them, it's basically a duo of "mutants", aka teens who mutated when experimental drugs were tested on them. The girl developed the power to manipulate and fight with light (she throws "daggers" and purifies people). The guy manipulates darkness and swallows positive things in his big cloak of death. It's a neat concept. If I ever had to do a mainstream comic, I would want to do these guys 10 times over. I'm going for a more teen look. Dagger is the fighter, so she gets pants... I'm still working on it, but I like where it goes. I want to buy a whole bunch of old issues of these guys. Maybe I will.
