Whew. Weird week folks, weird week. I've had a though weekend, and kinda started the week on the wrong foot. I also got my management end-of-the-term works dumped on me (all for next week too) so i'm feeling the pressure yup.

But that's okay.

I tried getting back in a good mood. Today I had my internship and a class, but it was so hard for me to stay awake after the internship, I just went home. While I was home, I got quite a bit of work done, so yay. I've also got a few good news: people want to give me money for various things! MASC, the company for whom i'm interning, wants to hire me until febuary with a contract. it's only a 40 hour contract. It's to organise a french young authors and illustrators conference for febuary. Heck, i'm happy. I love working at MASC and i'm getting paid for it! I'll have to juggle a bit because I need to go back to my Tim Hortons job too... In a way I feel like I should have quit Timmies. MASC is offering me a job, and my prof offered me another to tutor students...These jobs are so much more well paid then timmies... But at the same time, I feel terrible of quitting after I asked them for a break. I ended up just taking the MASC contract since I can juggle it around my job & school. Plus, contract at MASC on top of the intership? Shines up the old resume! I guess they like me! : )

A education student also hired me to do a few pages of illustrations and character designs for a comic. This is also a pretty short (and fun) job, hence why I took it. I,m not getting into large project anymore: all they do is compress my time and stress me out. I'm not very good with stress and fast-paced go-go jobs (and yet I work in a restaurant...I,m amazed that's i'm actually good at it.)

I really want to sit down and draw some more of the Oziad comics. I left the Wicked Warlock and my namesake in a bad place... I need to draw...

Maybe i'll take a day to do it this weekend.... In between the souless management projects (urgh....)

Oh, I also finished my art for the silent auction. The visual arts graduates expo commitee is organizing a silent auction as a fundraiser for our graduation exhibit. Basically, these funds are going at the same place as my bake sale funds. I'm submitting 4 art pieces to it. A big hair drawing, a little hair drawing and these two beautiful things: a drawing of the last unicorn and inspired from the Pandora myth.

In any case, if any of you are from ottawa, come and see the auction at the Mercury lounge in the By market. it starts at 7pm (til 10pm) on wednesday the 28th of november. You don't have to buy anything. It's basically an exhibit with bidding sheets, hence the "silent" part. It's like walking in a live Ebay. So at least, come and see the art! there's a measly 3$ entrance fee, and i'll be there on friday, so you can come to meet me ^_^

here are the works too...Enjoy! (p.s. they are actually in color. My scanner did not capture the subtle hues of my aquarelle for some reason...)
