Remember the days when the Mickey gang was all complexe and interesting? Yes, it happened before Kingdom Hearts.
I've been checking out the gallery of a couple of folks on deviant art (

In other news, there was a sale at the art shop. I bought like 6 tablets of paper. I think i'll be able to lock myself in my house and not shop for supplies for a while now. Mwahhahaahah!
This weekend is going to be a bit more rock and roll then usual at work. On Friday, we have a big important meeting with all the librarians on the Montréal island for them to pick books. Then, on Saturday and Sunday, i'll be at the Montréal Comiccon selling books. Then on monday it's website stuff to be done! So yeah. Hard work ahead. But i'm honestly really motivated. I can't begin to describe how cool it is to love your job. I haven't had this feeling in a while. It makes me so happy. I need to type it out.
So until this big weekend, I plan to make cakes and work on comics. Because yeah. It's what I do.
I saw my friend Caro today. she has been in Africa for 2 and a half months, helping the community (she is a sexologist). I really missed her and I was happy to see her! It was really neat to hear her talk about her experience. She had a lot of growth during this trip. Unfortunatly for her, when she returned, a couple of bad things regarding people and her job hit her. But as always, she takes it with a smile and as a challenge. I really admire how she's always happy and motivated to help people. She's amazing.

Date: 2011-09-15 05:05 am (UTC)Hehe, art store sales are the best. I just got a big paper organizer for myself so that all of the reams of paper I had lying around had a decent pre-use home. ^_^

Date: 2011-09-15 02:30 pm (UTC)And I love how you drew her hair, it looks like that really detailed, weight-y looking hair in children's book illustrations that makes you want to pick it up and play with it. xD
That's really cool about your friend in Africa. I just got done with a Cultural Anthropology class and one of our books was devoted entirely to a woman's record of anthropological work in Mali. Do you know what work she was doing down there? It's really fascinating, the kind of stuff they do.

Sounds like you've got a lot of fun and excitement coming your way at work and the con! =D Can't wait to hear how it all goes!
