Man. Today I was falling asleep all over the place. Makes putting books away kinda difficult.

I seem to have a lot of subconscious stress lately. I go to bed and have very vivid, agitated dreams. And then the next morning, my neck muscles are stiff, painful and sometimes even blocked. Maybe I should get one of those heated, relaxing pillows...

On another note, i've been borrowing manga from the bookstore (yes, it's allowed). I just read Ikigami, Switch Girl, Chi's sweet home and now i'm re-reading the beginning of Nana.  Kinda feels nostalgic to be reading manga again. I always loved manga, but it's getting hard to fin the good series in the giant piles being translated these days. Thankfully, now I get to sample for free. Hehehe. and yes, I know I can read some online, but sampling in book form is just more fun! And it smells good. The French edition of Chi's sweet home is in color too. And thick paper! It's manga for kids! And it's all watercolor. So pretty.

Also, i'm making some buttons for the convention! Aren't these adorable?

I found a decent, hip-looking hairdresser close to my house. I now no longer have an excuse to keep the mop I have on my head. think i,ll get a haircut on Friday.

That pouty-lipped Snape at the bottom makes me all kinds of happy. And - weird thing to compliment - but I love how toothy you draw your skulls.

bleghh I need to get a haircut but I keep finding myself too cheap to shell out fifteen or twenty bucks for it.

Heeheh. It's what I like about the skulls myself. So it's cool!

Aw! Chibis! Super cute my dear! XD

And I agree with you, reading comics in book form does feel more... cozy? Is that the word I'm looking for? :)

Hope the stress levels go down so you can get some decent sleep :/

These are so cute! I can almost see Alice and the Hatter as me and my fiance - "Look, I found another kitty! Let's keep it!" Him: *grump*

"THAT'S HOW YOU KNOW HE LOVES US!"

Chi's Sweet Home is a series I want to buy at some point. It's one of those series where it's just great to have your own hard copy.

As I told you before, I just love those button designs. The Alice and Luna ones have to be my favorite.

Yeah, everyone at the bookstore goes batshit crazy when we get a new book of chi in. It's hilarious.

I'm with you on the sampling/reading in book form. I know I can find scanslations online, but it seems so meticulous and time consuming to click on page after page after page, when I can find the manga somewhere and read it myself.

BTW - I love the emo Pony. :D

Also, everyone loves emo pony.

Awww, I love the button designs!

And sampling free manga is a helluva perk! How cool! And I like having my manga in book form too. I mean, i will cop to reading online manga, but when I can afford it, I try to buy the book form (despite my groaning bookshelves), in order to support the creative efforts of the manga-kas.

Sorry to hear of your stress issues. It doesn't sound like it would be any fun. no wonder you're tired! I hope you can get some rest soon.

Manga-kas deserve support! It's why it always bugs me when people take scanlations for granted and refuse to buy books. There's a writer that needs to eat at some point.

Indeed. I do feel a little guilty since I haven't had a lot of disposable income to spend on buying the series I read lately, but I hope to be able to again soon.

As long as it's done eventually, it's cool in my book. The thing is, you actually understand the concept. I hate people that seem to believe that manga is just naturally free off the web and that paying for comics is just a waste.

Yeah, that is a shame. I know a lot of people complain about scanlations and all, and while there are those who abuse the concept, the majority, like me, use them to keep up with the series they like until they are made available for purchase. Sometimes they can be used to expose people to new series that may not be available yet in their country.

I do hope to buy a few more volumes soon. Finances have not been friendly to me lately... -_-

Photos of your new 'do, please!

Your buttons are adorbs, of course. Fat Cheshire is amazing, and your wee gloomy Snape is cuter than a mouse's pocketbook.

I've had those periods of vivid, agitated dreaming, too. Supposedly it means change is brewing, but then, doesn't everything?

I'll be sure to take some photos for you! :D

Change is pretty much always around, it's pretty easy to pin something as a symbol for change! haha!

Vivid, agitated dreams eh? I can relate! Hmmm. I guess something must be bothering you. Wish I could tell you what it was. I wish dreams would just come right out and say what they mean XD I sure hope you feel better.
