So to resume, it seems I did get sick indeed. I was pretty sick from Thursday morning to... now. So whatever plans I got this week, they are pretty much forgotten. At least i'm gotten back on my feet! Slowly.

Also worth noting: stress suppresses the immune system, so it's not genetics at fault here. (Unless, of course, you were born without an immune system, which then of course would be at fault!) Just keep letting yourself get plenty of rest and good flu-fighting food, and you'll kick it off in no time.

Oh no, if you had no immune system, or an extremely compromised immune system, you would probably already be dead. You would get sick from any exposure at all, and would have no way of fighting off disease. (This is why things like AIDs are bad. They make it so the immune system is completely useless, so really the person dies from not being able to recover from illnesses.)

Some of us are just more prone to illness than others. I dodge the flu all the time, but every time a cold comes to town, I end up catching it. XP Just how things go. In a way it's good, since it means your immune system keeps getting "updates" on how to fight off illness. Now, if said illnesses would stop mutating, we'd probably not keep flirting with illness as we do...

I know, I was kinda joking :D. Fortunately, my immune system is quite there, even though it seems to work like an old car once in a while.

I'm definitely prone to illness though. It's making my boss suspicious. I think she thinks I party and go out all the time and take days off to do such fun things. Hah. If only. That would be a lot more fun then having a fever.
