Cat's a jerks, really. But they lure us in with cuteness.

No, I didn't acquire a cat (no matter how much I would love to), but I play a lot with the cats my friends have. Oh, allergies, you cruel mistress.

In other news - I've been re-watching "3rd Rock from the Sun" with Link. This show is so sitcom-y. It's like the golden age of sitcoms packaged in 5 seasons. But the cheesy acting and randomness still makes it a delight to watch. For those of you who don't know, this is a sitcom about a group of aliens posing as a jewish family to study us. It's pretty strange and often mimics movies (there's musical and film noir segments) and it mostly plays with fish-out-of-water experiences (everything about us is pretty much alien to the aliens). Also, I just realized, my first crush, the guy who played Tommy (Joseph Leonard Gordon-Levitt), is the guy who plays Arthur in "Inception". Oh wow. No wonder I found Arthur to be so damn pretty and familiar looking.

I'm getting new glasses on Friday. YAY. I'm so tired of these old frames. This will put me a bit int he read (considering I just did christmas spending too) but holy crap am I ever tired of these frames, you have no idea.

Too funny, I've been wanting to draw a comic on how unlike a cat Lincoln behaves. (He jumps off my bed an hour or so before I get up, then when I get up, he acts like he hasn't seen me in forever and showers me with attention.) But don't feel too bad if the cats don't like you, you might just smell funny. True story! A friend came over the other night that my kittens know well, but they wanted absolutely nothing to do with her! We joked it was because she reeked of coffee, but it was confirmed today when she came over sans the coffee smell, and the kittens adored her again.

So yeah. Cats. Or, bribe them with food!

I got a kick out of the fact that the guy who played Tommy on Third Rock, and the girl who played his girlfriend on several episodes, played love interests on "10 Things I Hate About You", one of my favorite movies.

I love that movie too! I think that movie is the reason I keep confusing him with Heath Ledger (they also look similar a bit. But now one is gone).

He was also in "500 days of summer" a really great movie that also has my beloved Zoe Deschanel in it!

He's a really great actor. He mostly does indie movies. I think 3rd rock and Inception are some of his only "mainstream" things.

Hahah not DIRECTLY per-say .. I originally wanted a name that was like .. disembodied voices, but I believe it was taken or too long. Pretty sure 'cat' came randomly - but freshmen year I had a CD cover assignment and made it a broadway musical title 'Disembodied Cats' (I guess it'd be a mix of 'Cats' & 'Sweeney Todd' lol). I had fun with my own inside joke since few people know my LJ name. X)

I used to love 3rd Rock... I need to look at Netflixing it if possible. I remember crying with laughter at the episode where they discovered snow.

Great comic. But some cats are exceptions to that rule. I actually used to hate cats because I thought they didn't show affection to their owners. But then one wandered onto my family's front lawn and that pretty much changed overnight.

I also LOVED Third Rock as a teen and had a major crush on Tommy. He had such fabulous hair. :)
However, I thought the ending to that show was a bit of a downer (mainly because of the bizarre way they handled Dick and Mary's last moment together). The show was so upbeat and happy; so going with a melancholy ending was an odd choice.
