Okay. I'm a bit hyper right now.
I saw a few friends I haven't seen in a while this week, mainly some old pals from Montreal and Toronto. It's so good to have a week off. But tomorrow is my last day off >_< Noooo.
Monday i'm starting my new job at Tim Hortons (and for those you keep saying it: yes, i'm aware Tim Hortons is evil, but at least it's corporate evil, which is going to do me some good after my job of small buiness ran by an ignorant evil)
Aside from that, I have terrible writter's block right now...anybody knows how to cure that?
I also need to go finish some drawings...
I,m a bit irritated because a lot of people I know are going to the Montreal Anime Convention but nobody seems to have a little place for me to join in the car! Two of my friends are traveling with a parent going to visit her son living in Montreal. Another of my friends is going to go see her boyfriend at the same time and dosen't want me to go because i'm going to intrude on what they are obviously planning on being sex. 4 other friends are going and say the car is full and they don't want me to share it with them and/or share their hotel room. Arh!!!!! Why won't people accept me to tag along >_< I don't have the cash to pay for bus tickets and a hotel room on my own!
So i'm not going to the convention...
Here's a curse: may you all get sunburn...
One day I WILL go to a stupid convention. And if I have a damn car, i'm going to go alone...Mwer.
On better news, the little bookstore in my home town is back! It burned down with a whole mall last summer (yes, one of our malls was set on fire) and i'm in charge of the comic book section ^_^ Maybe one day i'll get a full time job there rather then just little contracts and volonteer work...At least the comic selection is really good!

Week long vacations are turning me into a big lazy monster. I've been sluging around since monday.

Convention d'anime

Hey, at least you have a better chance of going to an anime convention than I do. There aren't that many good ones here in the Maritimes, but at least there's my anime club to keep me happy.

How to conquer writer's block? Hmm......Well, I find when you just try to relax and do nothing an idea just sneaks up on you (that has happened to me a few times.) Another idea might be to read books you haven't read yet. Cornelia Funke and Patricia C. Wrede are good authors (if you like fantasy that is). Mind you this idea can also be applied to comics, movies, cartoons, etc...

I hope that helps. ^_^

True enought i'm in a good spot for conventions since Ottawa hosts one too (not the greatest one i've heard. I never got to see it for myself since there was always too many people for the room capacity)
I don't know many fantasy writters but I do like fantasy...i'll be sure to check those two out! Thanks!

Also listening music, sad music, by night, in a dark room, while watching the rain (or snow) gently falling from the sky (this one might be with a cup of coffee).... or the fullmoon (without the coffee) while feeling the caresses of the cool breeze in your face, playing with your hair and clothes (laying over the grass).

And don't worry that much about convention, conventions comes and goes across the time, and eventually you'll be able to be there, with enough money for transport, hotel and stuff (and, if that happends {and by any chance I'm near there}, I [deeply] hope you let me share the expenses and travel with you [the same hotel would be too much though]).

You're lucky to be on vacations, for me, finals are (almost) over, now is projects week.

Have fun on the bookstore

-Drankel (as you can see, the guy dealing with finals, from you're last entry)
