I'm a big fan of buying music legally. But i'm currently overloaded with CDs. So when I finally decided to give itunes a try it quickly became one of my favorite things. I also discovered thinkgeek, Threadless and Bluenotes and yeah... I might not walk back into a mall for a while. Isa likes having things but doesn't like trekking for it. I'll still go shop for books though. Because bookstores are special. And awesome bookstores like "Planet BD" often have books that I could NEVER find online, rare little gems of great artistic beauty. I always found shopping for books was a discovery and an adventure. Shopping for other things was a long walk with a specific goal. So meh. I pretty much only like shopping with the company of very specific friends.

This weekend a few friends of mine are visiting To celebrate my birthday. My birthday is actually on the 24th of May, but since it's a national long holiday weekend in Canada, most people have plans (trips and etc). So it's being celebrated in advance. Still fun. I get cake. :D

Mhhh....Yeah, not much to say today. I'm gonna stop here.

Your french is pretty good, you just inversed the genders. I know, we are so complicated with our genders!

Since you're a girl, "Jaloux" will be "Jalouse". Also, "panel" in english is "case" (like square). :D

iTunes is so dangerous! I love to browse there, but I try to be good about what I buy, else IU would be penniless. (And sometimes I miss having CDs as backup. Not to mention the booklet with things like song lyrics.)

Have fun this weekend, even if it is early. Early is better than not at all! ^_-

I usually back everything up anyways, so i,m fine with itunes. It does get pretty addictive and that's dangerous for the wallet!

Do you need to have an iPod to use iTunes? I'd like to give it a try; but I still have my old, bulky, walkman-sized MP3 player and I like it too much to give it up.

Whatever you download to iTunes will stay on iTunes where you can burn it to CD if you wish, or if you have an iPod you can put the music on that. You might be able to get the songs onto an mp3 player, I doubt directly from iTunes though. (There's always a way to get around such things.)

You can't sync a non-ipod with itunes, but you can still use it to download things.

I might recommend you find another downloading program though. Itunes is great, but it can be a pain if you don't have apple products. In a PC, it's more or less compatible. It won't cause problems, but be aware that it pumps a crackload of RAM. I still have itunes on my PC because my mp3 players is an ipod (and there imcompatible with PC mp3 management programs). But usually when I work on photoshop and chat on AIM at the same time, turning itunes on can really slow down things. It's a whole comptability issue. But it does work on a PC, and the music downloaded should be compatible with your MP3 player. You just can't use itunes to transfert things on the player.

You're probably wondering why I have apple products while still using a PC? Well, as much as apple products like ipods are fun and attrative, Apple still doesn't really let people buy spare parts to build their own, personalized computer. They are pretty anal about it. So I prefer PC because I can get a custom computers composed of parts I hand-picked. Much better then a store-bought brand and less expensive then a store-bought apple with about the same power.

Actually, my custom computer is more powerful then my macbook, so yeah.

I DO like going out and shopping... What I like about internet shopping is that I can find everything in stock <3
But I hate the shipping expenses -_________________-

That is also something I love - Everything is in stock or not. Simple as that. I hate walking all the way to the store, seeing something I like and them not having it in my size anymore, or the right color, or they only have the (*shudder*) demonstration piece left.

With online shopping you just read the "out of stock" sentence and move on. Barely any time wasted!

I do like shopping as a social activity with certain specific people. But on my own? Naaaaaw.

LOL! Cute comic ;) I'm not a huge shopping fan either. Have you checked out grooveshark? It's a great place to listen to tunes :)

I'm the opposite of you. I LOVE shopping. Even if I don't end up buying anything, it's fun to just look. And I've always had a paranoia about buying stuff online because, if it gets damaged in shipping, its harder to return. But if I buy something at a store and its defective, I can just walk into the store and talk to an actual person.

I buy a lot from websites that are actual stores in Montréal, and the return policity states that I can go to the store. So problem solved there. I just don't like shopping because they never have my color/size and I despise the OUNCE OUNCE OUNCE BOOM BOOM BOOM OUNCE OUNCE TCHAKATCHAKA music the stores I like seem to think it's necessary to have on full blast for some reason.

I get the whole fear of buying online. But you know, since I started working in tech support for the online registration/purchase software builder thing, i've felt really reassured about online shopping. Nothing makes you feel good about a system like knowing how it works.

Oh God, I hate that, too! Luckily, most of the places I shop don't blast terrible pop/rave music.

UWAAAH, aren't bookstores great? I hate buying books online too. Bookstores are magical. If there ever no more bookstores because of those stupid e-readers, I may cry. 3:

And and and, adorable comic. ♥

I do love bookstores. Online bookstores can be fun (*cought cought preorder cought cought*) but local bookstores, especially specialized ones, are amazing.

BTW, when you go to sweden, are you gonna do LJ posts about life in sweden? I would love to hear about it. I'd also kinda enjoy adding you to my AIM list, if you feel like it!

You should definitely try to find comics while in sweden. European comics *are* so beautiful. Completely different from american. That's why I love them!

From: [identity profile] kuridee.livejournal.com
Oooooh yes. Yes they are. :DD (AND YES preordering is fun. XD)

And I definitely am going to be making posts about Sweden while I'm there! But I'm going to have a new LJ for them, I think. So my RL friends and family can read it, too. So it's...prolly more like a "blog."

Ahh, I really want to find comics! I know for sure I want to go to a convention over there, too. They have one in the city where I'm going, in the springtime. I can't wait. *g*

You'll have to give me the address for the "blog" or at least copy them to your LJ. Isa is interested!

If you see cool art, be sure to post photos!

Awesome, thank you! I appreciate the interest. I'll totes post about it on my LJ when I get it all ironed out. :D

And I definitely will! :D

Hellooo! Hope you don't mind me "friending" you! I LIKE your work! This strikes a chord with me, as I just discovered I can get my clothes, shoes and even food online, and literally never have to deal directly with the world again! Yay!

No, go ahead. I don't mind people friending me at all it's one of the reasons why this journal is open to anyone). Glad to hear you like my stuff!

I've ordered clothes online, but I'll very rarely do it again. When I need clothes or shoes, I want to see 'em on me before I buy. They can look so good online but like crap on me. They then either rot in my closet, end up given away, or have to be sent back. (I hate sending packages. I'm a horrible wrapper and pros are expensive.) Waste of time and money. Now if, say, I saw something in a store, but it was the wrong color, but the style was flattering, then maybe I'd try online. Or if it is a style I love and want another of, ok, online it is. I'm more likely to buy stuff for other people online, esp. if they hae dropped hints about something available online.

I,m pretty okay for buying every day clothing (read - t-shirts) and goods. I'm pretty much a stick. So fitting clothing is easy. I would never buy shoes online though. Or anything else that requires fitting (like a dress).
