 So, it's technically midnight, Earth Day has passed. But it<s okay to love the earth everyday. Especially when the earth has such badass protectors : Poison Ivy, Eve, The Sprite from Fantasia 2000, Toph, San from Princess Mononoke, Captain Planet...



Love the environment. It can kill you in your sleep.

I'm thinking of maybe getting some more plants. Of course, you all know I have black thumbs of death. I still keep on trying though. 

Elemental powers are pretty cool. I would like to do a story where people have them. I don't know a lot of english series that have people with nature powers, aside from Captain Planet and The Last airbender (despite the anime look, it's american). A lot of super heroes seem to have nature-ish powers. Especially villains. Gotta love those weather-themed villains.

Is it just me or the more I post the less I have to say in this little blurb underneath. I guess my life kinda got boring lately. I mostly just draw and hang out with Link. I don't have a lot of friends in Montréal and i'm always sick. :( It kinda makes me a very indoor-y person I guess.

Kind of ironic, since I tend to post often..and I haven't posted for a few days. I hate being sick, tired, and just apathetic about people. XP But oh well, at least we both did some chatting recently so at least we're both getting out a bit, if only in voice..

Storm from X-Men had nature powers. I'm sure there are plenty of other series out there with characters who use them, but at the moment my mind is drawing a blank.

And now the Captain Planet song is stuck in my head again. Why must it be so catchy?

I just have nothing happen to me. I got to (boring) work and come home and draw. I guess that's why I mostly draw illustrations. Comic ideas are not flowing from the universe like the usually do. C'mon universe, make my life fun again!

I think Toph will forever be my favorite Earth Day mascot. Also, there's nothing wrong with a little downtime. You've also been busy with getting Namesake all set up too. ^_~

There was Xiaolin Showdown in which the characters had elemental powers...but it's wasn't nearly as good as Avatar. One of the more interesting earth powers I've seen was Ueki, from Law of Ueki, who can (I'm not kidding here) turn trash into trees. It can be quite a cool power when used properly. XD

Granted a lot of the powers in this series are weird/neat. One girl gets the power of turning beads into explosives (she's one of the more awesome characters), one guy can turn cloth into steel, etc.

It's pretty outdated, and a lot of the "lessons" at the end are illogical (though they mean well)... and it's made by Ted Turner.

The basic premise is kinds fun though.

I have the chronic black thumb unless it's hardy outdoor plants. Trees & rose bushes good. Everything else, dies.

Oh, yeah, the Pretear team. Though they are from a manga. I was mostly thinking that the elements are really common powers for asian shows and much less common in american shows. Hence the talk about the Weather Wizard (who is apparently awesome now!)

Flash's Rogue's Gallery is weird, but I love 'em. Unlike most of the other DC Villain groups they're pretty social, have no take-over-the-world ambitions (they mostly just rob banks and other small jobs), and have a professional respect for Flash. They also have hard line codes: don't kill women or children, and don't kill the Flash. They consider the worst thing that ever happened to them was when they accidentally killed one of the Flashes (Bart) when they let Inertia lead them. Plus, they've actually had canon cases of hanging out with the Flash (inviting him to parties) when not actively villain-ing. they're kind of lovable as comic book villains go.

Yeah, I haven't had a lot to say either. I probably will post something regarding the visit I had with my dad and all... if I feel like it. Laziness is such a pain sometimes.

I do decently with plants, although since I've been away from the office I hope my bamboo hasn't bit the dust. TT_TT
