Stolen from [livejournal.com profile] ichiban_victory and [livejournal.com profile] dqbunny ... For thanksgiving I guess, though I AM CANADIAN (I had to caps it...) so my thanksgiving is long gone... The meme question of the day is:

If you had to narrow down what you're thankful for to just one thing, what would it be, and why?

I think if I would have to be thankful for would probably be somewhere between the people I love and the drawing talent I have. Being thankful for the people is an obvious statement. I love the people. Love them to BITS. But i'm also very thankful I can draw and that I haven't lost the ability to draw in a freak accident of some kind. It's my passion, my main hobby and a great wait to meet people and get involved in art events. Love being able to draw. So. Much.

I don't seem to be doing much with the beloved talent though. I seem to be nonstop tired lately and well, that sure doesn't work well with the motivation and the inspiration to create. I just started working on the comic Jabberwocky again after a ...almost 2 month hiatus? Too much stuff going on I guess. I have a big problem ending my projects. I start a million projects at once, chase a million rabbits and end up with not much. I gotta learn to focus my energies and stop spreading myself too thin!

Here's a jabberwocky page. Yeah, it's kindoff a blood and creepy story like ROSE, but the next story will be an adventure! More 'Miyazaki meets Tim Burton' then 'Twisted fairy tale of death'....

I almost just said 'people in North America' in my post since you all up in Canada did beat us to giving thanks, but really, we should give thanks all year long. I know it helps me to keep a positive outlook on life when I'm going through a tough time, and it really does do wonders for one's overall wellbeing. Life's just too wonderful to not be thankful! ^_-

But, I agree you ought to be more selective on which rabbits you chase after. I actually envy you that drawing is your main emphasis since I have so many outlets that I want to explore, but when I try to do all of them nothing gets done. When you do choose only certain things to work on, chances are much better they'll get done. Plus, you can always save an idea for a later time. I've also found that sometimes allowing an idea to stew in my brain for a while makes it so much better when I do get to it.

(I always like how your monsters come out. They look so appealingly scary to me!)

Speaking of Tim Burton, I keep staring at the new Alice in Wonderland movie posters at my local theater, and am super-hyped for it. o___o

March 2010 is a long way from now...I swear, Tweedledee and Tweedledum look like the ones from the American McGee's Alice video game. o__o

I'm Australian! That said, I think I'm most thankful for the myriad people who've been willing to support me, even when I've been kind of a brat about growing up. Those guys kind of rock and I'm not sure where I'd be if nobody had stepped up and helped me out.

And (I'm special, okay? I get two comments for seperate subjects!), that is a pretty excellent picture. Is the blood there on the first image supposed to evoke thoughts of sprouts and assorted leafery? Because it certainly does for me. And... and bloodwraith thing in the second picture...

It's cute! I want to take it home!

I know all too well how that is -- I too work on way too many things at once and end up not finishing half of them because of it. ^^; It's nice to know my imagination is alive and well and keeping itself busy, but at the same time there are so many ideas for fics/pics that I've had that would have been great to see completed. Ah well lol.

Really nice artwork there. I'm so used to seeing your more sketchy stuff that it's really cool to see something inked!

We're gonna be in Montreal in a couple of weeks, too. Might be nice to finally meet in person if you have some spare time!

I have the same problem with my imagination. I get so many great ideas, but then it's hard to finish an idea all the way to the end. It's a curse I think. ^_~

(Those images are both cool and creepy.)

Wow, you have a thing for holes in the chest, don't we?

Oh, and I'd like to have your address for Christmas Card purposes if that's OK. You can e-mail it to me at fluffy762003@yahoo.com. Just put Christmas Card Project in the subject line.
