WTF LJ? I wrote an enormous post and you deleted it.

Oh well. Long story short: i'm in Montréal, though I didn't come by boat (sailing on...my imagination?) but I did bring my muse, my fandom, my works and my characters with me.

I've been sick since sunday with a nasty cold, so apartment renovating and job searching didn't really go anywhere (nor did I). Tomorrow i'm going at a job fair to seek some work. Apartment wise, i'm connected again (sweet, sweet addictive internet) and Link and I managed to finish (sorta) the bathroom and the kitchen. Only the living room and the studio to go! C'mon!

I'll show you guys photos when it looks like more of a house.

I'm happy i'm with Link but I still feel a little out of place and uprooted. I guess I was more attached to Ottawa then I though. But I know some people here, and online, and home is only 2 hours away, so I think i'll be okay in the long run. Especially if I eat cookies often.

The appartment is close to all the necessities (pharmacie, food store, video rental, etc, etc.) so i'm happy! It's a good apartment in a good neihborhood (jewish neihborhood. Lot's of funny hats and kosher shops), it's a little far from St-Denis street (aka street of a million bookstores/comic stores where Isa likes to spend her hard-earned cash and beg shopkeepers to adopt her) but as soon as I get a subway pass, I shall laughs at distance and rush hour traffic. Hahaha!

Okay, time for me to take my kleenex box and die in a little corner. Cold FX, you lied to me! I am NOT cured in three days! Curse you!

P.s. - I'm looking for new songs for my mp3 player. Got a favorite song you want to share? Give me a name and/or a link. Feed the artist with some tunes! :D

Over and out!

-Isa

It always takes a bit of time to get settled in. It sounds like you'll be in quite the neighborhood though. I think I'd enjoy it a lot. (I've always been curious about the Jewish culture.) Having all those conveniences nearby will be good, too, when you're healthy enough to appreciate them.

Drugs are always a lie. XP Nothing beats lots of sleep and proper hydration and nutrition..and blowing a ton of snot out of your nose. Yep, almost through all of that myself well over a week later.

(I think it's fair to say you got more than enough songs from me, plus most of my songs are video game soundtracks. I'm not sure how interested you would be in those.)

I,m sleeping a lot! In fact, I just woke up from a nap. And drinking a ton of tea. I don't like most flu drugs, but I found Nightquill and Dayquill really do good for me, so I like those too (and natural ginger throat soother.....good stuff!)

Yeah, i'm glad I got the Slayers stuff at least!

Natural throat soothers are always good. I opt for tabasco sauce myself, unless I happen to have lemon juice on hand... I do miss the naps I took when not feeling well. I sort of wish I could take a nap now instead of doing my homework. Seriously though, I'm glad to hear it! Good health will be yours again soon.

I honestly haven't really added to my music collection in a while, mainly because I never got around to importing the Classical music my parents have to my computer. I do still typically prefer older kinds of music to the current noise. (Although I certainly hope you've been keeping up on the new Slayers songs!)

We're happy with our new apartment, too. Also close to the necessities, and the neighborhood is very nice. It has only been two months since we moved to San Diego.

(Most of my songs are anime, oldies, only video game ones are from BlazBlue and Guilty Gear. =/)

I agree with Diane. Although my cold lasted over a week, it's just best to try and rest as much as possible and keep hydrated. That's what your body really needs to recover. I think those drugs just tend to help limit the syptoms a little, but they don't really get rid of the problem.

Congrats on the new apartment ^_^. I'm sure you'll feel settled in soon enough, just give it a bit of time.

Now asking for music is like giving me lots of money while I'm in a sweet shop :P

Thanks for the songs. I already had a funeral for a friend cd, even though I prefer calm music, techno and harder music does suit me when I feel like headbanging XD

I'm glad to hear you're back and getting settled in. I am sorry to hear of your cold though -- I hope you're better soon. Drink lots of fluids and get plenty of rest. And don't worry about anything -- everything else can wait until you're back on your feet and feeling good again. <3

What kind of music do you like? I have a lot of j-pop and lots of 80's/90's music of all genres. :D

From: [identity profile] secondlina.livejournal.com
I,m pretty open for music. I listen to everything. Seriously. My playlist has jpop, 80's, 90's deathmetal, femenist stuff, pop, rock, queen, classical ballet, whatever. I just dislike Country. and when I mean country, I mean the fresh out of the barn type. Otherwise, anything is good. I enjoy piano, female voices, guitar and calmer songs.

Ok. :3 I went to youtube to get these. Let's see...

A little j-pop:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ekFC-O7h7qQ (This one is extra awesome because of the accompanying music video lol. :p Every cliche of 80's music videos imaginable is crammed into this.)

And now for some English stuff:

Oh man, I could go on for awhile. ^^; I like everything so it's hard for me to narrow it down, but these are some of my favorites. Hope you like these!

(Edit: Actually, I can't say American stuff since One Night in Bangkok didn't originate in America, nor did Show Me Love. :p)

Hahaha. That was the plan actually. To draw your Rose characters. XD
I'm up for an Art Trade if you are. No rush on your end with the moving and the being sick though.

Y'know what, I will zip the FSTs I have up when I get home and email them to you. I really love the Broken Sonnet one for Danse Princesse and Knight's Move (or something like that) from another.

I'm glad the move went well. Starting anything new can be a bit unsettling, you just need a couple of weeks living there and then it won't feel so "unrooted" for you. ^_~

I put some songs in a zip file for you. I think you'll like them, they have catchy melodies.

They are:

Great Big Sea: Ordinary Day and The Night Pat Murhpy Died
Jonathon Coulton: The Future Soon
Higurashi second opening
Umineko opening.

Aw, I hope you'll feel better quickly! It's definitely that time of year for everyone to be getting sick. XP

Any big change is going to feel strange, but once everything's all set up, and with Link there too, it ought to start feeling like home eventually. Especially if you have all those handy comic stores. ^^

I don't know if I'd have music that you'll like...all I have are various anime songs and soundtracks! XD;
