This week, for some reason, my work is extremely frustrating and annoying. To a point when I get home and really do nothing. I can't even draw. My creativity is sucked away by silly clients made of evil.

I DEMAND GLOWY JUSTICE UPON PUNY CLIENTS OF EVIL!

BOOOOOOM!

Drew a lot of Psychopomp(e) sketches on my lunch hour. That new comic obsesses me! I drew character designs for the Lord of the Dead, the keeper of the door between the two worlds (Called Plutonia and inspired by the infamous Sailor Pluto) and random humans. I'm also getting a clearer idea of what I want for the comic backgrounds, since I wanted to world of the living very grey and gritty and the land of the dead very white and pure. A friend of mine described my sketches as "Tim Burton with better acid."

....That's promising.

.............You know everybody says that Tim Burton probably does a ton of drugs to get his ideas but I don't do any and get similar ideas. Maybe he just has a good imagination like me and people just don't get that other people can have imagination. But then again, maybe he has pretty serious trips too. Who knows.

Bonus: That's some nice glowy justice here too. Everyone, show me your favorite >Anime/animation Glowy attack

EDIT: http://blipcomic.com/191/ GLOWY JUSTICE IN IT'S PUREST FORM. (Oh, Blip. Such a fun webcomic...)

I was in bed. The cops woke me up. I'm now waiting for the cops to turn off their sirens and leave my neighbor's house so I can return to sweet sweet sleep.

It's so awesome, and that was literally the only picture where Aang didn't look like a retard. Movements do not look good in the death sphere.

I'm pretty sure people exposed to the death sphere aren't thinking aobut how Aang looks XD

Gah! Dealing with crap over the phone is the worst! The power of glowy justice would have come in handy at my old call-center job, too.

Whoa! Sailor Moon nostalgia trip!

Okay, I don't touch drugs or anything that will influence my brain in any way. Fact. Also fact: my imagination can be very warped. I don't think someone needs to take drugs to be...well, weird. You just have to be willing to use your imagination, to let it take you wherever it may please. That people think someone has to be using drugs to be more out there with their imagination is really sad to me.

(And behold! Mine icon doth contain much of thy glowing justice!)

I don't touch drugs either, and yet people seem to associate my drawings with "getting the good stuff"....hum. Pure imagination is the best stuff! Yay! I think it would be kinda sad and expensive if I could not draw these at the drop of a hat but needed "encouragement"

Well, and a lot of famous people who did use drugs to "open their minds" (note: many bands from the 60s) had some really nasty side effects...like death. Or killing so many brain cells that even if they're alive now, they can't function on the same level as they once did. It really is best to leave your imagination alone. And from personal experience with laughing gas, I can safely say I prefer using my imagination where I'm the one in control of it, not the drug! XP

Aaaaah, the 60's....

I have a pretty vivid imagination. I didn't want to use drugs because I was afraid to mess it up or make it more real. I like my imagination the way it is.

As for other people's drug intake, I actually am very tolerant for Pot because everybody and their mother does it in Canada. I am pretty against harsher drugs though.

Laughing gas? You never told me you were an extra on a bond movie! *laughs*

Bond movie? You wish, don't you? ^_- It was in the dentist's office when I had my first filling...or something. I was only a kid, and already having bad reactions to drugs. I've been really scared of anything else mind-altering since, since it's terrifying not having any control. When one has a vivid imagination, it's best for it to be contained...

(And that's kind of gross about the pot. I hear they're trying to legalize it in California to boost state revenue. We don't need more potheads!)

Date: 2009-07-29 05:30 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] secondlina.livejournal.com
Meh. When it comes to pot, i'm pretty tolerant. At least when the person doesn't smoke everyday to every event. I'm very annoyed at people who are stoned around the clock at work and while driving. But when it comes to the people who take it once in a while, during hours where they are not operating a vehicule or trying to make a living, I leave a lot of slack. It's their choice and their bodies. And it doesn't concern me.

California? Haha, I guess that would help tourism in a way. I didn't think the state had money problems, but I guess since airports started charging more, they probably do.

Date: 2009-07-29 05:39 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] ichiban-victory.livejournal.com
It is the people who choose to be potheads 24-7 that I worry about. Plus, the stuff stinks! We had neighbors growing pot here who let their whole house burn down since they were afraid authorities would find the pot, so it was sweet justice that everything but the basement where the pot was at burned to the ground. Or maybe they just weren't thinking clearly since they were druggies...

California's been struggling financially for a while now. Just one of the many reasons why Californians are moving elsewhere in the West to find more affordable living. It's not in California.

there are people who are gifted with great imaginations, it's just that they're misunderstood. you're a great example! only you're not misunderstood. XD

I like to think that Burton just has a good imagination too. I've been able to come up with weird ideas for stories since I was a little kid. Imagination is really an amazing thing when used well.

From: [identity profile] secondlina.livejournal.com
Yeah, I think Tim Burton is like that too, sagain for the kid thing, like you said, and also because it would just weird people out. People would expect him to be a hardcore user and have it as inspiration. I bet he doesn't just so people can be surprise. 'Hi, I'm Tim Burton, and I love throwing people's grounds on reality.'

We really need an animated Glowy Justice Icon now.
