I wonder if all the fox trot fans out there know that Peter's girlfriend Denise is blind? I though she was wearing the sun glasses for style but turns out she's a blind character! I was reading some old books and noticed that she reads brail, touches things to "see" them and often makes a reference to how glad she is she can't see what's going on.

That finally explains the sunglasses...

On another note, I started reading Fullmoon o sagashite by Arina Tanemura. I'm addicted to shinigamis...First bleach, now this! It's not a bad series, it's short (7 books), has good drawings, a cute storyline and a really hot guy wearing a cat-heared hat (no fan service there, nooo) It's not the book of the century, but I have to admit i've turned into a Takuto fan (the same way cute demon/ghosts always get my fandom...damn you chrono!)

I've know that for awhile, but my brother has the older books so I just read through them before I really got into Fox Trot. But I like her, she's a cool character. You know, I sometimes wonder what it would be like if they made it into a cartoon like they did with Dilbert.

Is Fullmoon really only seven books? I thought it was one of those long running series. I've only seen a couple of the episodes, but I have to admit I liked Takuto alot.

In a way, I hope not. I find the power to the strips are the short medium they use. Making a show out of Foxtrot might turn it boring beyond words. (I feel it's what happened to for better of for worse)The'de have to really work at it well.

And yeah, it's oly seven books. I know because the french edition of them is completed. Arina Takeruma makes a lot of series with only 1 to 7 books (Kamikaze Kaito jeanne is another with 7.) She claims to hate long series and is suprised they managed 52 episodes out of some of her series (though she enjoys watching them)
It's a decent read, like I said. The pictures are great though. However, if having a character tell another they love them often and get rejected and/or smootch often makes your skin crawl, pass...(basicly, if you haven't been able to read anything by Yuu watase like Fushigi Yuugi or Ayashi no ceres, don't read stuff by Arina Takemura, it's in the same style)

Was For Better Or For Worse an actual animated series then? I've seen one television special only, but then it is a Canadian strip so it would make more sense that you guys would get to see it, and not we people down south. I really like that comic strip, too...

Agreed on making Foxtrot a television series. The strip is mainly about a geeky kid, and while many people can relate to that (I love the D&D strips!), a lot of people don't. That, and t.v. shows usually butcher what I liked in the first place. (And fear! They'd give the characters voices!) Bill Amend seems to hold Bill Watterson (who created Calvin and Hobbes) in high esteem, and if Bill Watterson would turn down an offer to make his strip into a t.v. show (yes, he was offered it), I bet Bill Amend would too.
