Now would be a good time to do another Work Creature joke I think. I'm at my job all day and all night I draw stuff for the exhibit coming up and some contracts. Yeah. After the November exhibit passes, I have a group exhibit with my friends in Montréal for the Nuit Blanche. I'm not gonna take anything else on. I feel like my drawings are being pretty much forced out of me right now, and yeah, it's good practice for and when I will become a cartoonist but damn... Isa needs a break.

I've had the worse case of the mondays all week. Urgh.

In good news, I started my xmas shopping early, so I could span out the spending over the course of two months (Isa budget not very high) and not stress out fighting a horribly large crowds in shops.

Next update will have some comic action, I promise.

But for now:

FINISHED PICTURES!

Oh yeah, babeh. I am the watercolor god.
Oh yes, oh yes, it is actual color on this journal. Take it in, take it aaaaaaaall in.

I love both of them, but I really love the first. So much. Excellent work.

Beautiful! The first one is my favorite, but they're both great, I love the colouring. It's makes me get motivated to work more with watercolours.

You have a great start! I myself am far from being good at it (watercolors are a moodmeium) but I can tell you you have really good potential. Try wetting the surface you wish to paint with clean water first and then applying the color. It creates really cool flows! (which I used in the backgrouds)

*blushes* Thanks, I've read about that technique, but keep forgetting to try it. I'll make sure to remember next time. ^_~

Sorry for the delayed response. The internet was extremely slow last night, so I was able to see the images (after refreshing the browser a few times), but when I hit the 'leave a comment' link, it decided that was a great time to barely load at all.

In any case, I crown thee Goddess of the Watercolors, because I can. ^_- It really does look good! You're making me regret not taking the one segment of an after-school art class I had when we were to learn about watercolors. I was never a fan (I lack patience) of using watercolors, but I can certainly appreciate those who do!

I need to start on some new Work Creature types one of these days... (No, you really don't want to know my ideas!)

Oh, so nice. I always love the raw emotion and how fluid the movements are in every one of your drawings.

I think fluidity is my forte. Actually, it's one of the reasons I think I suck at live drawing; everything has a bit of a cartoonist flow. But, who cares, flowy is prettyyyyyy!

The variety of expressions and the color are indeed wonderful. I particularly like the flow and blend of colors of the hair in the first. That's one of your other strengths isn't it, the flow of hair and cloth? I'm afraid I don't know the background for the second picture, but the first is the most expressive illustration of a very key moment in the Slayers canon I've ever seen! Wow!

I've been wanting to paint the gigaslave for a while. If you look back on the journal, various Lina Sketches have serious begun the process of this drawing. I like how her arm itself is almost exploding with dark energy. THe gigaslave is hard to cast, she's suffering physically and mentally... I wanted it to show. I wanted the other characters to look like the result of the spell influenced their lives and I wanted LON to look almost caring, but a little mischevious. I think I managed well.

You managed very well. Lina's agony is quite evident, and contrasted with that ambiguous smile on LON, made all the more striking. As I said, it's an excellent illustration, that makes one ask what does LON's smile mean while Lina is suffering so while casting the Giga Slave?

Oooohhhh! Fandom art! Coooooool!

I love your interpretations of Slayers and Bleach (IchiRuki yeah!) in your regular art style! Made of win!!

I thought I commented on this before.

SOOOO NICE. I wish I could come by the Comic Book Shoppe that night...alas, I am trapped in coffee-hell.

I keep meaning to ask...do you do commissions ever or are you too busy right now?
