But yes the shag really exists. And it's pretty darn bachelor appartment slash gay nouveau genre decoration. It reminds me of a yeti, or a bleached wookie. Of course, upon meeting the landlord, I kinda understood why he'd think yeti shag was a daring decoration investment. My friend Fauve (a former trainee in interior decorating) reaaaaallly thinks it's hilarious. I think I should plop a disco ball in there and i'll be up and ready to host hip 70's sexy parties (oooh, ohh).

Aside from that, i'm currently packing all the contents of my closet. My closet is enormous. It's not walk-in, but it covers a whole wall. So it's pretty big. And full of CRAP. I found a story I tried writting in 6th grade. Yeek...

I also decided that I wanted to try to get into sculpting and sewing a big more this year. I found a bunch of books teaching how to make plush animals. Also, upon seeing the work of Shary Boyle, I just wanted to get into sculpture again. I drabbled a bit in sculpture thru miniatures of houses and anime garage kits, but i'd like to be able to do more with home sculpty (that can be cooked in a standard oven)...

Count your blessings! The house my parents have lived in for years was and still is decked out in 70s colors. We used to have green shag carpet, and not even a pretty green. My mom was so glad when we finally tore it out...maybe a decade ago now?

Can I be your roommate? I would love to pass on my sculpting and sewing ways! I used to play with FIMO quite a bit, but not as much as I should have. It's a bit more forgiving on the hands than some make-and-bake clays you can use. (Most important sculpting rule: Lotion is your friend!) And maybe one of these days I'll take you up on that video chat offer so I can show you how I made the Work Creatures™. ^_-

(I want a yeti shag carpet! My current apartment is decked out in green carpeting that is too dark to be grass, and roommates keep dropping paper bits all over it.)
