Okay, this post has lots and lots of images, and some interesting news for all the fanfic writers in my F-list...

Wicked tickets & Graduation:
I finally got my ticket to see Wicked in August!!!!!!!!!!!!! WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!
It's a really good seat too; since i'm alone, they use me to fill in the extra seats between parties of 3 or 5 so I got this amazing seat. Front AND center. Close and then some. Huzzah!

It better be close though, considering it costed almost 100$. *sigh*

My Graduation was actually at the NAC, where Wicked will also be shown. Actually, my graduation was specifically in the theatre room where Wicked will be shown. I found the coincidence amusing and took a picture of the big Wicked poster at the entrance.

So, yeah, as promised to almost all of you (you ravenous beasts, you.) here is a photo of me in my witch-burning uniform. I mean toga.
The roses are from Dad.

Current Art Exhibit & Random Art news
My first exhibit (in Vankleek Hill) is open. I even already sold a work. Awesomeness. The Vankleek Hill Gallery (Arbor) is small but cute. I mostly sent smaller works there. I'm happy I did. I met an old friend at the vernissage that went thru Arts administration classes with me. It was fun.

The exhibit was actually named after one of my drawings "Mirror Dust" so I was proudly shown on the advertizement and in the entrance lobby. Yeah!

The work that sold was the Romeo and Juliet one you see in this photograph. It was bought by a very young aspiring artist! Happy to see my work appeals to youth so much that they want to buy it. Awesome.

I also sold my "Lost Girls" drawing today to a prof at the university. I'm really happy it's gone to a person that loved it so much. Plus he's a good friend to my art professors. Even better.

I'm currently trying to get my act together to build a website. It's almost necessary for my marketing. Gah. Must work on that.
I also got my works shipped to Montréal for the July exhibit and i'm working on some new, shiny works for my august exhibit. Whew! work, work, work. Finishing some contracts as well. Seriously, all I do lately is draw while watching Sex and the City Dvds...

RANT ABOUT JOB SEARCHING
Good thing too because if I had nothing to do, i'd be stir crazy by now. I apply to about 10 jobs per week. Still no response, not even for an interview. I know processing applications takes time, especially in government institutions but MAN! Plus I mostly apply thru the internet, because they want me to. They put at the bottom of the ad "We only take email sent resumes" so I do that but I REALLY feel like i'm doing nothing because there's no physical connection or anything. Gah!

I found this job in montréal I really, really, really hope I get. It's PERFECT for me in every way. It fits my capacities, my motivations and it's at the national film institute which I adore. I don't ask much from the G-man, but a job would be awesometastic.

News About Doujinshis and illustrations
ohohohho. The good, gooey filling.

Those of you who saw me live in a Toronto performance might recall me whining that I really always wanted to draw up some doujinshi and get a table at Anime North. Well, my goal is to do this this year, so i,m starting to produce Doujinshi.

Since most of the people in my F-list are fanfic writers, I plan on asking you guys for help. There's a few series i'm open to draw about, but I need help with plot and dialogue a lot, especially dialogue, because i'm a frog. So, I want to ask you guys to throw plot bunnies my way, if you wish. I know every job requires payment, but I don't want to sell the doujins at an expensive price. Just enough to pay for printing and the long drawing hours. So if I would use one of your ideas, I would "pay" you with a free copy of the doujin and a free drawing of gorgeous quality. :)

I can't do a million doujins at the same time, so whenever I need a new story, i'll post up my need plotbunny want ad here XD
Right now i've still got Diane's Relina Doujinshi to finish. I'm also starting an idea I started cracking up with Step in the BLEACH department. The story is still secret, but I started doing some sketches for the cover and story hollow, and i'm willing to throw bread crumbs at you all. XD

So yeah, I hope you all feel like giving your favorite artist a helping hand!
Just out of curiosity, the series i'm willing to work with are : Slayers, Bleach, Imadoki, Card Captor Sakura, Tsubassa, Magic Knight Rayearth, Inuyasha, Ranma, Kenshin, Escaflowne, Disney stuff, Chrno Crusade, D Gray Man, Sailor Moon, Sailor V, Kamikaze Kaito Jeanne, Emma, Utena, alice in wonderland, avatar...

If you start to get ideas before I can get around to asking for new ones, please remember that a 5 page drabble transforms into a 50 page comic.

I'm also planning on making a few small selling items for the con. Mainly these weird "badges." I was thinking a badge that would be kinda like one of those "press reprensentative" thingies you get (basically, a laminated nametag on a string). and on it you'd have a couple or a duo. But since the badge would be laminated, the drawing would be double-sided. One side showing the front and the other the back of the characters and both sides having an amusing detail... I think it's a cute idea.

I kinda also wanted to make a Secondlina's Panels booklet with jokes and a full story... I think it might be a fun idea.

I'm also working on a giant aquarelle drawing of Lina Gigaslavin'. It's going to be amazing...

And for those who wonder, Yes, i'm working on the secondworld. I unfortunatly keep loosing my electricity (most likely due to all the wind and rain outside that has been around for a few days). So I might only post tomorrow morning. I apologise again for the giganormous hiatus. Though stuff was happening here and elsewhere and just made it hard to type...

Oh, i'm also leaving with my labtop and paintbrush to montréal in an attempt to seek employement on friday. Wish me luck.

I figured as much, but the storm was knocking out my power, so I figured it would be good to go offline before my computer suffered...

I can't wait to get back to work on Secondworld. I've been missing Renge, Anlise, and the others! And good luck with the job hunt! It's just been rough for everyone out there these days.

You're always welcome to flip through some of my Shikon no Go short stories for Inuyasha and turn them into some doujinshi panels. They're very short, ranging from about 800-2,000 words, and can easily stand alone. Some of the good ones that I think would make funny doujinshi include:

"Straw"
"Onigiri" (Mainly the comedy part)
"Dot"

You could alwsys turn the hackeysack story I did for Link set in Ranma into a doujinshi too.

Oh gosh, doujinshi? Between getting back into D&D and playing too much Pokémon (I'll have you know my Rampardos, C.R.A.C., leveled while I was reading this), my thoughts are way far away from even my own current ficage. XP Unless you want to draw doujinshi with cute Pokémon questing to help their fellow Pokémon. You know you do. ^_- I'll be sure to let you know if something bothers me enough to write it out.

I hope you hear something back on the job front soon, too. I was just joking with a friend the other day who had applied to a government job, and it took them two whole months to reply they weren't interested. (Joke being that the job seeker died of starvation from lack of money while waiting to hear back on the job.) Hopefully the market up there is better than down here. I'm pulling for you down here as well.

I know my writing sucks compared to everyone else, but I remembered you mentioned something (probably in passing, hehe) awhile ago about doing one of my Slayers fics, so feel free to pick one of those up and I'll help anyway I can, and if we need to, I know we'll get help from Megan ^_^.

Compared to those of the others that have offered, my talents are really lame, but I sorta envisioned the "Gourry Walked Into a Bar, But Lina Ducked" drabbles on www.fanfiction.net as doujinshi when I wrote them. If you really want to play with any my fanfiction, feel free.

LOL You're so lucky you get to see Wicked. Hopefully, I'll get to see someday myself.

The doujin idea sounds great. Feel free to use any of my drabbles/fanfic of mine for ideas. Also, if I get any good ideas for the others like Avatar, Alice in Wonderland, I'll let you know for. (I'm slowly working on my Alice Amelia doujin. Got the thumbnail sketch done. Now, I'm drawing it. I'll send it to you when I'm done.) I would love to get a free dougin/drawing. ^_^

Also, I can't wait to get back to secondworld.

Wow. That's a big post...

The scene in the first drawing reminds me of some scenes in PotC 3. Heee...

Your graduation robes look different that ours (USA) does. Sometime I should show you pics from my college grad.

And congrats on the selling! Here's to many more!!

The sample Bleach panel looks good. I love your interpretation of Kon.

Oh, BTW. The very last chapter of Inu Yasha has been released. Check my journal for the link if you want.
