A stressball named Paradox

Well, Things are going okay. I went to montreal last weekend to visit Link and unfortunatly got a bit behind on homework. Then my teachers threw more homework at me. Apparently this is a pretty bad week work-wise. I've also lost my voice due to a cold and i'm having a bit of trouble at my internship. I had to take a sick day this week and now i'm behind on a whole mess of paperwork. To resume, things could be more up-to-date and I could be way more organized but things are mostly okay.
I know a lot of people (including some of you probably reading this post) are waiting for email replies from me. I've got 50 unread emails. So don't expect anything before sunday. ^^;;; (I'm sorry)
The montreal visit was fun though. I was glad to see Link in person. On the following monday, I finally got to do the fundraiser i've been organizing for a while. See, the fourth year students in visual arts have to mount a mandatory exhibit called the Grad Show. Of course, the exhibit cots money (catalog printing, fake wall building, catering for the opening night, etc) so the students need to raise the money. I organized a Halloween bake sale. For most of the day me and Tanya sold pastries and shouted intricate slogans ("Buy sugar, support culture!"). It was actually a lot of fun. We made close to 200$ by selling pastries for a dollard a piece. I think that's pretty wicked.
Getting the sale together was however a really hard job. Only 8 students really participated in the end on a total of 36. That's not even a third of them. So i'm a little disapointted in the graduate's participation.
I'm actually getting really tired of being team boss or leader. The bake sale was hard to get together. I'm also in a teamwork in another class where two of the teamates are pretty much counter productive to everything. Like, badly counterproductive. As in the question everything and render other people's participation to nothing.
I'm tired of being the leading lady. But I guess it comes with being a management student. Aw but god do I ever want to stab some people with a really sharp pencil. Especially my teamates from management classes. How can future managers be so DISORGANIZED?
Anywho, end of rant.
Oh, i've also been on a HUGE Oz watching trip. I watched several short videos on Youtube. Some of them where awesome like the 3d short animation of the Tin man getting his heart stolen...And also, episodes of the old Oz Anime! I wish they would take that out in DVD as a full series (and not as cheap knock off movies as HBO did). I also saw the Old "Return to Oz" Disney movie. I never actually saw it before, but it was great! The disney version is super close to the books. Oz is a Narnia-type fantasy land in that movie, just as it's creator intended it, and not a sugar-coated singing version as the MGM movie depicts it.
I also ment to do an Anniversary comic for halloween just as I did last year. I started it, but didn't go much farther then 3 pages by lack of time. I wonder if it's still worth doing it anyhow?
Oh and for those who wanted to see, here are the new hair drawings!

Date: 2007-11-03 02:25 am (UTC)Gee...sounds familiar...
Anyway, I'm about ready to just spork people to death randomly, but I opted to hide in my room. (I already snapped back at a guy who made stupid jokes and said I never smile. Punk.) Whee...
Okay, coming back to a happy place. How did you ink the drawings? The attention to the hair really does amaze me! (It also gives me the urge to hack off my already short hair. Death by strangulation due to long hair!) I don't know what to think about the 'hair bra' though... *laughs*
Sorry about the long e-mail of doom this morning. I wasn't going to tell you anything about what happened yesterday, but you asked, so... Heck, I'll be around most of the weekend if you want to just talk about things that way.

Date: 2007-11-03 06:47 pm (UTC)I finally get to see some of your work from this semester.
I hope you'll be able to manage your workload better now that you got a little break. How do you feel now anyways. A little more rested I hope.
I'm looking forward to seeing those halloween comics of yours. Take your time with them thought. They are, unfortunately, on the "low priority" stack of things to do.
Alright.
I'll talk to you soon.
Bye
