Daughter of the rainbow

I was asked to draw a commission of Polychrome, a "rainbow" fairy from the Land of Oz books. She's a fun character, but not very useful. She's part of this gallery of characters I suspect the writer invented because he just found them pretty or cool. She's basically this fairy that falls from the sky and, since it's colder on earth, kinda dances to keep warm. She's really, really fun to draw. Yay. Rainbows!
I know I really should never complain about my situation (a lot of people are worse off), but I still seem to fall prey to jealousy a lot. Jealousy when people get to party more then me. Jealousy that other artists my age are more successful. Jealousy that that guy on the bus has food. Stuff like that. I think it's probably a good sign that my stress levels are high. I get pretty petty when i'm stressed. I need to relax more. Maybe dance like Polychrome to waste some energy around.
Fall is getting colder, so I kinda started my grumpy hibernation stages. I should try to keep a bit more positive this year *laughs*.
You know what keeps me positive in the winter? A fireplace. Seriously. Nothing improves winter like a darn fireplace. :D
