Jun. 14th, 2006 12:51 amOkay, some might recall my lastest bitchin' where I was rather mad that most of my friends were headed of to Montreal and/or the montreal anime con and that nobody was offering me a ride!
Well, turns out I managed to get a ride and a place to stay and went to the con!
It was a small con, but it was fun. There was a lot of fanartists selling works there, a lot of anime goodies sold for cheap (wall scrolls for 13$! WOAH!)
and some videos and activities going on and about. There was also a lot of people dressed up in costumes. Hence, I now have a photo of me, hugging Cloud Strife. (mwahahaha) that will be exposed here when I get it XD
At the con, I obviously spent too much. I got three wall scrolls (one of Slayers that i've never seen! It's a drawing of the cast in the Slayers premium Style, one of Nana and one of Full moon O Sagashite, manga style), A rukia and Ichigo plushie, a t-shirt that says "Go to Jigoku" (deepest, darkest circle of hell), some signed drawings, slayers manga, fan manga, some doujinshis and a Nana bag with a Nightmare before x-mas wallet.
After the con, I went to see an expo at the Montreal Museum about pre-feodal japan. Then me and my friends hit the chinese market ^^
So overall, this weekend was very fun and very "asian" (did I mention we ate in chinese restaurants the whole time and the only time we ate at home we had something called chinese fondue? The odds!) So now i'm glad to be down and back in good old Occidental home and job.
This week I work seven days, but most of it is 4 hours shifts, so i'm good. I think this is caused by the fact that most of the kids there are still in high school and that this is the exam period for those kids (what a relief, I went throught that like two months ago *laughs*)
Aside from that I made Icons for a few people to thank them for following the story of my life *laughs* If I have forgotten you in this first batch, it's not because I don't love you, but rather because I din't figure out and idea for your icon yet. Hope you guys enjoy!

"Chaos and Peace" for Amelia Seyroon because she loves alternatives couples and that it's fun to be different. (Lina x Amelia)
"Star Bright" for Earthstar because I needed an excuse to draw her beautiful hair again.
"No place like Home" for Ichiban as a continuation of the Home Doujin. (Amelia x Zel)
"Bend like a Pretzel" for Annekay, cuz she likes One piece and Luffy is cool ^_^

Last but not least, a icon of Lina sporting a funny t-shirt for Yukiomoni because she rants like no one I know and I positivly love it.
