I'm not even that much of a Harry Potter fan. I mean... I saw all the movies and read all the books and own a golden snitch and loved it pretty generally. But I never felt that attached to it or never really integrated a fandom. Yet, today, when I heard about the premiere for the final movie starting in London, I felt a sad. I guess Potter, like Buffy and so many other things, did have an influence on me and my writing. Also, i,m so envious of J.K. Rowling. I hope one day to be as popular as her. Not for the money or anything, but just to see so many people really attached to something you created. It must be so... special. To realize that something you created is so influential, so relevant and fun for a bunch of people and inspires them to do their best. Honestly, is there any better reward for a writer?

Being in her shoes must be an interesting experience.

Anyways.

Accio movie tickets.

That's all I gotta say.

I can relate. I became fairly disenchanted with Harry Potter after completing the seventh book but can feel the pangs eating at me knowing the final movie has indeed arrived.

And although I don't want anything to do with public eye (nor massive amounts of money), I would love, some day, to have my characters resound with people as her's has, too. Perhaps not to the same overwhelming degree but enough to know I've touched a bit would be grand.

Hope you enjoy the film and the experience when you see it! I've been (finally) catching up with Namesake and I must say, I do think you'll find people (if they haven't become so already) quite attached to it in due time. And I hope I get to join them, too!

That is a cute image of the trio. The comic review you did of "Order of the Phoenix" is still one of my favorites.

I was hoping to have some time to make a special drawing of Harry Potter. I've never been a very very very big fan, but these books have been part of my teenager years and I've grown up reading them and watching the films.

I feel like a stage of my life is finished with the end of Harry Potter and I also feel kind of sad about it.

That's a cute sketch!

I really can't believe HP is ending. No more movies or books (that we know). Well, I guess there's always fandom!

I'm not really all that excited about this movie, but I have stayed out of all the hype on purpose. I might cry... or at least, feel nostalgic until "Albus Severus Potter" is mentioned :P

I haven't been able top buy my tickets yet because I've been really sick lately, but I hope to soon.

And I have a feeling I will bawl when those final credits roll...
