Love the Venus art! The colours and inking are very eye catching.
I think doing fairytales is a good idea, but why not try drawing each class of a typical fairytale character. Example, having to draw a fairy godmother, a wizard, a thief, a princess, a knight etc. Or you can try drawing different kinds of fairies.
