C'mon, you all know I love superhero movies like this. Of course i'm obsessed. I was pretty obsessed with Dr. Horrible 2 months ago :D

I kinda want to scrap this drawing because a) I got the Megamind art book yesterday and now that I have MODELS of the characters, I feel bad for not drawing them with the right facial shapes. And b) the perspective is AWFUL. But I liked the idea behind the drawing too much. So screw the perspective. I liked the expressions too much.

Speaking about expressions, someone on Deviant art as requested that I should do a facial expression tutorial, since i'm pretty good at it. It's not the first time I get this request. Seems like something that would be hard to ...tutorialize... But I think I might actually do it. Heck, if people find it helpful. Plus it might get more people to visit my page, and by extension, my webcomic. What do you guys think?

I'm really amused by itunes. They made a BIG DEAL out of the fact that they now have the Beatles as downloadable content. Well, I guess the Beatles are a big deal. Considering the "Beatles" version of Rockband also just came out, i'm wondering if someone in the Beatles estate just decided to do a big marketing push or something.

I just got the "Arietty the Borrower" soundtrack and the "Tangled" soundtrack (off itunes). Tangled as some really adorable songs. They seems to have kept the number of songs down in the movie. Perhaps to focus more on adventure. Arietty has music that sounds like...celtic remixed with traditionnal japanese. It's....AMAZING. If the movie is as good as it's music, it's going to be a great movie.

Oh, for you "Avatar the last airbender fans"... Remember the awful movie. Someone spoofed it. It's a lot better as a spoof. Behold.

I still have yet to see Megamind, but your drawings are making me REALLY want to! Ahhh! Only thing is, in Sweden it'll probably be dubbed because it's animated. D:

OH MY GOD Arietty's theme song is just gorgeous...

The spoof is good for healing. I knew we could count on Rifftrack. Yet, I still miss the video with the famous "Rock, rock, rock," line. XD

Dude, the drawings that you've churned out without any official reference whatsoever are still amazing, so stop being yourself up over it =D

Roxi makes me want to have really short hair again.

I find this drawing to be super adorable. Proper facial shapes be damned.

I would like to see that tutorial myself even though I'm not an artist. I just like seeing the process of how people draw they way they do.

Well, the Beatles are a big deal because the surviving Beatles wouldn't allow any material of theirs be downloaded via iTunes for quite a long time. I dunno why they didn't, but I found it frustrating because i uploaded a CD of their and I couldn't find any artwork for the album and it kinda irked me because I'm anal like that and want artwork for my songs.

Oooh, spoof!!

ETA: It's by Rifftrax! LOVE those guys! You should totally check out some Mystery Science Theater 3000 by them!!

Wonderful drawing! I really do love your coloring and line work. And I'd love to see a tutorial by you if you decide to go for it. :D

The Beatles catalog had been under all kinds of legalese stuff for so long (especially with Michael Jackson owning the original songs) that no one expected them to ever be available digitially.

don't know what happened to finally get those floodgates open but since I bought the big re-launch of titles a few years ago, I have them in my iPod at any rate and don't need to repurchase :)

I guess I'm one of the few who actually liked the movie. I saw the series too, but hey, there was no way that he could fit all that into a few hours...

And even if I didn't like the movie, Rifftrax's version... not funny at all?

This is so cuuute~ I love the expressions and everything in this<3

And yes! I think the best way to do expression icons is to show simple examples of each emotion; maybe show real-life examples and how to transition them into drawings? c:

Aaaah, I want to hear both of those soundtracks! Glad to hear they're both pretty good!
