Gotta catch 'em all.... POKÉMON!

>: D

Like you guys don't know the lyrics. Stop pretending. IT'S STUCK IN YOUR HEAD FOR ALL ETERNITY.

I used to love pokemon. Though honestly, if I had mons, they would always be out of their pokeballs. So I get to walk them. And brush them. And have them set people on fire. Also, no crow pokemons? WHAT?

Charmander and Bulbasaurs were my favorites. I have a tendancy to like the "booster" pokemons (aka the ones you get when you start the game).

I'm thinking about buying a Wii. Because I want to play Metroid other M. And Super Mario RPG. And Epic Mickey. Are three games enough justification to spend almost 300$? Urgh, I guess I don't really have the money anyways.

Which reminds me I gotta pay my credit card bill. And go buy some more comic page paper. It goes down so fast. NOOOOO.

Yeah, Stu and I have the exact same problem. He and I want to get a Wii so we can play Metroid and Epic Mickey and a few others. Hopefully, once I get a job we can split a cost and get one together. (Also, I think at least three should be good. If it was only for one game, I would be reluctant.)

Yes, I'd say a Wii is worth it. It's not the investment a Playstation 3 or XBox 360 is, and the Virtual Console alone is a great way to add more games to your library without spending $50 a game. (How does $8-15 per game sound?) Plus, I have a ton of games that I'd always be willing to part with if you wanted to try more games. Last but not least, if you or anyone has, had, or plans on getting any Gamecube games (and a controller/memory card), the Wii is backward-compatible. I love being able to play my Gamecube games that way since it means one less system I have to hook up just to play something.

(I still miss the little boar Pokemon I dreamed about. One of the starters in the next game is a fire pig type, so I'm curious to see what that's all about. Make it adorable, Game Freak!)

Edit: Checked your local game store for used Wiis. Sometimes you can get one in great condition for cheap, and even better, games purchased through the Virtual Console are console-bound, not account. A friend bought a used Wii and found she had access to a lot of great classic games thanks to the original owner. ^_-

I never got into Pokemon, but I guess it was just a little after my time. The art is still good

I could so see this happening IRL.

(And pokemon contests are totally like pet shows, right? XD )

I was addicted to the Pokemon TV show and the games in high school. I left the fandom. A decade later, I start playing the game again, though I'm not interested in the anime anymore. BUT IT WILL NEVER LEAVE ME ALONE.

I got so addicted with one of the newer Pokemon games... hahaaa. It's not a bad thing to know all of the old songs, either! No lie, I have the original soundtrack in my car still~

I don't think it's worth it quite yet. Wait for around Christmas time or so, when the prices drop a bit, if you really want them. c:

I was totally into Pokemon when it first came out. I even have the Pikachu gameboy/Pokemon yellow bundle pack.

The TV show (the first 3 or 4 seasons anyway) doesn't hold up that much for me. But it is amusing to watch it now that I've heard all those voice actors in more mature stuff like Slayers, Utena, and Irresponsible Captain Tylor. I was sad when I heard they were replaced even though I had stopped watching the show way before that happened.

I loved Charmander and Bulbasaur, too. They're such cuties, aren't they? ^_^

Wii!

I have a wii. :)

We should play when I come up. Haha... Or I can get your brother to play, I have almost no doubt about that. But I bought mine for only 165$ on Ebay brand new. Just keep an eye out, and you can get one super cheap. :)

And I love the cover!

Ahh, I like your new header! You can tell it's been awhile since I read my FL, hasn't it?

And if you get a Wii, we totes need to exchange console numbers. And I've heard about this Epic Mickey game. I wonder if it's any good...

As for weather or not to get a Wii, I'd recommend it (especially if you can get a deal on a used one). Even if there aren't a ton of Wii games that you want out there, having a Wii opens up the entire Gamecube library and there are TONS of cool retro games to be had on the virtual console.
