Busy week

 Whew.

So i've been quiet all week because earthstar_chan  and gullwhacker  are currently visiting. And they are replacing the work creatures in the job of making sure I get stuff done. I managed to finish and deliver a big painting and finish the 10 pages of my comic "Psychopomps" that was due in September. I even drew a little namesake. I didn't really draw much else, but still, 10 pages in 4 days is pretty awesome.

So generally, my busy-ness was pretty much brought down a good 5 or so levels. Whew. It's devolving (like a mutating pokemon).

Here's the painting I finished.



It's a fanart painting for a group exhibit honoring the european comic Skydoll. The artists of Skydoll are visiting Montréal in September for the comic-con. This exhibit is to honor the and their work. It's a great series. The art style is really cool too. Some might recognize it as being the art of "Witch" or "Monster Allergy". These artist used to work under the Disney label for these series until they got really angry at Disney and took off. Disney - their stories rock but their treatment of artists seems to be meh. I hear a lto of horror stories about the Italian division of Disney. In any case, this series is great, and it got translated to english too. People who love sci-fi, philosophy and pretty drawings will adore this. It's a bit on the adult (since sex is one of the main themes. The main character is a sex doll).  But nothing more then some breasts and one sex scene that's a panel long. So yeah. Check it out if you feel like it XD

Okay. time for bed now. Shenanigans planned tomorrow. Etc, etc.

Oh yes! Barbucci and Canepa, both are very famous in Europe, specially in Italy, they've got lots of comics published here. I love Skydoll, I can't wait to buy next number *_*

I've loved Skydoll ever since i read it in Heavy Metal several years ago. I've been anticipating the next part ever since!

I was so happy to see it published in Heavy Metal. I got the french books, but with the heavy metal translation, I could finally spread the Skydoll love to my english friends.

Speaking of which, so many skydoll fans on my f-list! Yay!

I think you shoud check it out. It's really advertized as one of the best comics ever. And just drawing and coloring wise, it can teach many things.

Awesome! I'm glad you liked it! Hahaha! *is totally flattered and blushing* I visited your journal earlier and saw we had a lot of common ground. I figured geek minds think alike?

It's too bad I didn't talk to you earlier, but I didn't know you had an lj. The Sky Doll exhibit was open to international artists. But it closed the submission period last week :( Having your art in there would have been glorious! You're a fan of the series?

I love words. Some of my favorite words are "frolic", "shenanigans" and "wonderpuss" (It's a giant octopus at the bottom of the sea). I love using words that roll out of your mouth and who's syllables and meaning simply spell "hilarious". I still have trouble saying them since i'm French, but I at least get to write them!
