I've never heard of Tiger Balm, but one of my neighborhood friends used to play soccer after school and every so often he would come by reeking of Bengay, which serves the same purpose. I guess the stuff is supposed to really work at soothing sore muscles. The smell is something else though. It doesn't smell bad, it doesn't smell good, it just smells sort of...medicinal? Does anyone ever joke about Tiger Balm's name? My friend used to always mock Bengay by calling it Ben (is) GAY. ...I miss that odd neighbor friend...
(Hee hee, I wonder what is in Tiger Balm to make your eye feel like it's on fire! I experienced that once after I cut up some jalapeño and hours later removed my contacts. It burned so much!)
