This week feels like a week of deadlines: Rose comes out next week. And starting next week, i'll only have a month to finish my other short comic, Jabberwocky and to find a job, since I move to Montréal and quit my current job on the last week of September. Yeah, i'm not nervous. Not nervous at all. Especially not nervous about people I don't know reading my comic. Nope. I am the ultimate icon of zen-ness. Hahahahahahha. *twitch* *twitch* *twitch*

I think I need to make a list of the stuff I gotta do before I leave and stick to it. And also stop being insecure about my drawings.

But at least I cleaned my apartment, thus getting rid of useless boxes of drawings, crap, more crap and weird crap. I'm now a little lighter for the move!

We move the offices at work tomorrow and on Friday, which means we will have to rush to finish all the work for those two days before they technicians pull the plug on our computers tomorrow at 3. Talk about speed working.

Oh well.

On a positive note - today felt like a chibi kind of day!

So have some chibis...

A few people seem to have noticed I like expensive art materials. Honestly, it really doesn't affect the quality of what I draw - you can get the same result with cheap materials. But I think I like the expensive stuff because it's "ready"... Often more expensive stuff is pre-made for you (like watercolor brush pens are basically already wet brushes with already mixed colors). It's not really about the result - I buy those more because they are practical and i'm pretty lazy.

*hugs* Facing changes and new challenges can be very nerve racking. The only thing you can do is just take it one step at a time and cling to boyfriends/friends while you deal with them. If there's anything I can do to help you relax, let me know.

I find I have a mix of art materials. For example, I have cheap water colours, but I've been slowly buying copic markers over the years because I really like the quality of them, too bad they're the most expensive kind of marker.

Nothing like looking over the edge before jumping and not knowing whether the landing will be soft or completely tear you to shreds. Fun stuff... Just hang on for the ride. Things are about to get more interesting! And good luck with the job hunt.

(I like the random non-chibi 'Hey' person in the corner. Is she feeling left out not being a chibi?) ^_-

Yay, I love chibis!

Ha ha *cheers to lazy art supplies!* XD I'm so the same way, although I've only been using a mechanical pencil for my storyboards :P Awesome news on your comic! And no worries, work will come your way ;) Good luck on your move!

THANK GOD FOR YOU PEOPLE! *giant doomhug*

I never tried copic markers. What do you like about them?

Things are definitly going to be interesting. I'm a little tired of Ottawa. Thoguh I enjoy my precious friends in this area, I feel like moving, discovering a new city, meeting new friends...

Basically, I would love adventure if I wasn't so darn petrified of it. *laughs*

(People always feel left out of being chibi. Being chibi is AWESOME)

He'll probably need a few rib-changes during the new two months, poor guy.

Oh god, the useless crap! I can't believe how much of it I have. Not to mention the 7 boxes of drawings. Geeez.

What did you toss out?

I want to color some more of them.

I'm not too worried about finding a job, since there's always some work in administration. I'm just worried that it's going to take me a little while to find it...)

Well, they last for a long time, the few brush pens I've been able to get are nice to work with (although my store doesn't sell them often), but I think what I really like about them is the range of colours. It's nice to have like 5 different shades of green to pick out of.

I'm of the opinion that part of the quality of a product is how much you invest into that product. Yes, you can get the same results with basic tools. I know I can churn out basic writing and designs with a cheap PC. But, I put my money into an Apple and get even better results. Part 1 is utilizing the tools you have to the best of your ability. Part 2 is simply investing in good tools. Like I know I'll get so-so out of acrylic brushes, but some amazingly beautiful stuff if I invest in sable, etc.

Ugh, I've got a ton of useless crap too I need to go through. I took advantage of a recent sale to invest in a nice cart for my art/craft supplies (it was 50% off, yay!). I need to go through the remaining boxes I have, determine what bookcases I still need and finally just get rid of stuff I thought was once vital ... but really isn't, you know? Alone I have three boxes just piled around the art table and the computer desk.

Wow, you've got a lot going on. Just hang in there and don't think/worry about it too much, ok? It's hard when you're right in the middle of it but I'm sure things will turn out just fine for you. *hugs* :D

Let's see...

Some minor furniture that we didn't need anymore, an old desk, a shelf, gave a television away to a family friend.

I tossed out most of my DVD cases and saved the disks, placed them into CD binders. I did save the rest of my DVD cases, thankfully. Now I just have three boxes neatly piled in the living room. 8D

Do it! Color the chibis!

Awww, poor Link...

Wow, you do have a lot on your plate! And it's normal to be nervous! Your baby is going out into the world! It's very scary! But, I think things will be just fine! You'll see!

And good luck with the move and all. Change is hard, but necessary sometimes.

Yay, chibi's!
