One night's sleep then boyfriend! Link is visiting me in Ottawa tomorrow. It's been a long and kinda sad week, but i'm starting to get my fire back and starting to feel less tired. I started doing stuff again, but I take it easy, making sure my fire stays lit!

My plan for the next few days is to go see Ponyo, the new Miyazaki movie and clean my apartment (Because my landlord is starting the visiting rounds on next wednesday). My landlord is turning into more and more of a jerk now that he knows i'm leaving. Today, he tried to make me believe that if HE could not rent the appartment for October, I had to pay for the month of October when my lease CLEARLY STATES that I am to leave on September 30th, end of contract and payments. I told him no way and he started throwing me this B.S. about how a lease renews itself automatically. Hell no. Leases don't do that. What the hell, crazy landlord? I bet he's going to find some way to keep my security deposit.

Once my apartment is clean, I will start to seriously look for a job in Montreal. After all, I do move there in a month and a half! I'm gonna need a job! I plan to check posts everyday, re-do my resume, the works. I also need to find places that want to carry my book Rose and draw some comic book pages in between looking for a job.

It sounds like a lot of work, but really, the thing that bugs me the most in this is the cleaning. It's a long process and i'm somewhat disorganized. But I started today though - I discovered that three of the boxes I had taken with me thinking that they were full of "misc" were actually full of drawings. Okay what? I went thru 5 boxes of drawings not even two months ago. Why do I have so many boxes of drawings? I officially draw to much. I need to go thru them more often so that I do not accumulate boxes like this anymore. O_O;

You find a lot of cool stuff going thru old drawings though. Like this fanart of Spice and Wolf inspired by the lyrics of the closing credits song. "Seven apples on a witche's tree." Count 'em, they are there!

It's fun to dig up things you forgot you had (though that is a lot of drawings! XD). It's a nice drawing, too--and I always did like that ending song.

WTF landlord dude? That guy sounds like a real tool. Make sure you take pictures of the place before you go in case he tries something funny :/

Money is always an annoying issues with apartments. When my roommate and I were going to move out of the dorms our second year of college we had put the deposit down on an apartment. A few months later when we come to check on the apartment before moving in we found out they had given our unit to someone else...without telling either of us. Even better, the manager who had signed our lease had left the complex (for unknown reasons, I might add) so we couldn't even ask him why he did that and the complex didn't have a new permanent manager yet so we had to explain the same problem to three different people. Thank god I live in campus housing now but I seriously don't look forward to when I have to move out and find an apartment again. XP

Pour ton appart, en général, les bails se renouvellent en effet tout seul, à moins que tu spécifies que tu veux partir. Et il faut le faire 3 mois en avance. C'est pour ça que j'ai pas pu déménager cette année...

Je l'ai prevenu 3 mois en avance, puisque je l'avais appeler fin juin pour voir si je pouvais louer au mois. Il avait dit non. J'etais pas sure si j'allais prendre l'extension de mon contrat de travail de 2 mois, mais je savais tout de suite que si je le prenait, j'irais vivre chez mes parents ou quelque chose, alors je lui ai dit tout de suite que je ne renouvelait pas. Mais bon, maintenant je demenage et mon contrat de travail finit pour le 30 septembre. Alors y'a plus de probleme. Mais savait quand meme super en avance!... S'il n'a pas commencer ses visites avant ca, c'est son probleme.

Seven boxes of drawings is a lot. And that's not even counting all the satudio stuff I left I home! Maybe I should start drawings in books again, it's easier to keep track of!

I think I'd want to take pictures of the place to also remind me how much I hate carpet and will avoid it in all future appartments

wow. That's a pretty bad experience! O_O I think it's hard to get landlords to take us seriously when we are younger. Hell, for this appartment I had to get my parents to sign the lease with me even though I was 24 and have a full time job! Very uncool for you :(

Wow, that landlord sounds like he's fun to deal with. @_@ I had to help my brother move to a new apartment twice in the last four years, so I feel your pain. I love to organize, so I wish I could be there to help you out.

No, leases do NOT renew themselves as a matter of fact. We always have to go to the office and resign ours every year.

I've only ever done one color job on the computer and really only mess with Prisma and Chartpak markers :P I'm just starting to learn about paint, we will see how that goes! ;)
