Postcards!
Nov. 3rd, 2011 11:14 pmSo, the calendar project kinda died when me and Fanie discovered that printing custom calendars was a pretty expensive endeavor. Sigh. But the fairy tale drawings weren't lost. I decided to print them to sell at Expozine in the form of postcards instead. So that's cool. Here they are! Gotta thank Link for doing the colors while I was sick & busy & coloring other things. He's such a good boyfriend.

I think my illness has cleared up enough for me to go to work tomorrow. My voice is a bit... gone. But I work on the booklist for the website anyways. I doubt i'll need to speak to a lot of people.

Speaking of books, I re-read today one of my favorites. "Re-Gifters" It's basically the story of a young korean martial arts enthusiast who has a bad temper and a crush that is seriously messing up her Ki. Through the book, she becomes more comfortable with herself, other students and learns that sometimes, the boy you like isn't the boy you should like. Also, she needs to win this competition. It's your basic coming-of-age teen story, but I love how it mixes cultures (she's korean, there's also a latino gang, etc), talks about money issues, history, martial arts... It's more then your basic teen boo-hoo love story. I just love it more every time I read it. I recommend it to all. :D
I've been thinking of filming myself inking lately. Need to figure out how to hook up my camera.
