So... the phone lines have been down since Thursday (and still are). Apparently, we have a bad signal. A technician is suppose to show up to fix it today. It does explain why no one called and why the internet has been unpleasant. This weekend, I worked my first shifts at the bookstore. It was good. The first day started off strangely.
I google mapped a way to get to work quickly - walk 15 minutes to a specific bus stop and then take the bus for 15, directly. I figured that was efficient. Although, despite the information, I got quite lost. I walked back home and checked maps. Turns out, I was in the right spot and thought I was lost because the street name changes. Nice. It was officially too late to try the short route again, or the long route (bus then subway then bus). So I called a cab. It sucks and it's expensive, but you can't be late on day one. The taxi circled around the block 5 times before stopping and picking me up. The ride was kinda awful (smelly, smelly taxi) and when I finally reached my destination, I stepped in roadkill pigeon. Brilliant.
Basically, that first morning felt like one of those dreams where you keep trying to reach a goal but you can never really get to it.
Thankfully the rest of the day went well and the second day too. I don't know if it's because i'm used to much more complicated jobs, but this seems really easy. I was doing well on my own after a couple of hours. For those of you who wonder, at my new job, i'm a part time "comic librarian". I take care of the collection and the clients for the comic section. Oddly enough, this bookstore needs comic specialists because they sell a lot to school and public libraries. So it's cool.
I'm not used to standing around all day anymore. After the second day, I was limping again. Oh limp. I did not miss you.
Enough of that! DRAWINGS NOW :

I really love that simplistic style. I should do some colored art like that.
I,ve been working more and more on sketches for the beast girl character. The project is slowly solidifying. It's going to be awesome :D
